New Maze Runner 3 Death Cure Movie Officially Confirmed Plus Release Date

According to a recent report from Variety, a new, 3rd Maze Runner flick has been officially confirmed, and will be labeled, “The Death Cure.” There’s already a theatrical release date set for it, which is February 17th, 2017, so be sure to mark that down on your Movie calendars.

The 3rd installment is scheduled to start filming in December 2015. They also revealed that director, Wes Ball, is returning to direct it, and he dished out a little of what he has in store for the 3rd movie, saying: “We are setting up a lot of things that aren’t necessarily apparent in the second movie, but it will pay off big time in the third movie.

So, that has been my approach and I’m glad that I can finish the series. I’m lucky and thankful that they asked me to direct all three films. At first, I wasn’t sure if I was going to do it or not, but honestly, it was the cast that I wanted to work with again. They are such great people.” Stay tuned.
