Big Brother 19 To Air Another Special Friday Episode On August 18, New Details
According to a new report from Big Brother Network, we’re about to see CBS deliver another special Friday episode for Big Brother’s current season 19. It’s scheduled to air on Friday night, August 18,2017. I checked the TV Guide listings to get confirmation on this and it is indeed very true. This new episode will air in the 7pm central time slot.
Big Brother Network didn’t have any details about what this episode will entail. However, TV Guide did have a little something to offer. Here’s what their description of this episode had to say. “The new Head of Household moves into their HOH room.”
Judging from that very brief description, it sounds like it will be a regular episode that shows the current HOH moving into their HOH room. They usually show this episode on Sunday nights. So, this got us thinking that maybe the Sunday show won’t air that week for whatever reason. However, when we looked at the TV Guide Listings for Sunday August 20th, it showed that there will indeed be a new Big Brother episode airing on that night as well.
So ,unfortunately, we don’t know what the heck is going on in regards to this mystery episode. It’s possible that TV Guide’s description of that Friday night episode is a typo or just filler information. They do that a lot over there. If it is correct, we should be seeing an HOH episode I guess.
I have a sneaky suspicion that it could possibly be something else though. The last time we got a special Friday episode, it featured the big “Battle Back” comp that brought Cody back into the game after defeating Paul in a big showdown comp. Ever since then, he and Jess have made the live feeds a living hell to watch by just kissing and staring at each other for most of the time.
Anyways, I digress. Back to this August 18th episode. I’m pretty sure host Julie Chen will deliver some sort of an announcement on one of the next few episodes that are coming up.
Big Brother Network pointed out that CBS did something like this last year where they delivered a second Friday episode. That one featured carnival events and Ziggy Marley’s backyard concert. They filmed the episode earlier in the week and then had to work around that week’s evicted Houseguest to make it look like it happened after the eviction. It also showed the return of muscle boy Jessie Godderz from seasons 10 and 11.
Right now, TV Guide’s brief description of the special August 18 episode is all we have to go on. So, we’ll just have to wait around and see if anything else pops up about it in the next couple of days. Stay tuned.
