New Grey’s Anatomy Season 14 Possible Maggie & Jackson Romance Teasers Revealed
Recently, the folks over at TV Guide got to chat up actress Kelly McCreary (above right) who plays character Dr. Maggie Pierce on ABC’s hit drama “Grey’s Anatomy.” During her interview, they were able to get a little information out of her in regards to what Maggie and Jackson will be up to in the new season 14.
It turns out that Maggie will be in the process of trying to figure out if what April told her is true. She told them, “April left Maggie with a lot of questions. Maggie having feelings, Jackson having feelings. That was something that had literally never crossed Maggie’s mind. What we pick up with is Maggie trying to find out if that’s true or not and beyond that, none of us knows.”
In the season 13 finale episode, April revealed to Maggie that Jackson has a thing for her and that she has a thing for him too. It apparently was quite the shock to Maggie. When Kelly told TV Guide that she really wasn’t sure if the Jackson and Maggie romance will develop, they asked her why the cast was posting all the Instagram photos that feature Jackson, Maggie and April together.
Kelly replied by telling them they’re just having a little fun with the fans stating, “That’s us trolling you. We don’t know what’s going on. We know how hot and bothered everyone gets about it and we are just having a good time. We’re f—king with you guys.”
To end their interview, she did made one last comment on the possible Jackson and Maggie romance. Apparently, she thinks it would definitely make for some very good drama and that she really does want to explore it.
She stated, “Those two characters for all of the reasons that people don’t want them to be together. That’s what makes good drama. Whether they come together in a romantic way or in a strictly platonic way, there’s a dynamic there. There’s shared family. There’s background that is worth exploring for character and story purposes. So yeah, I want to have scenes with him.”
In related news, Kelly and Arizona Robbins star Jessica Capshaw gave some teaser hints to what the season 14 premiere episode will offer. They said it will definitely pick up from where the season 13 finale episode left off with the explosion and all the darkness it brought. However, they also said it will feature a lot of comical moments and actually have a season 1 and 2 feel to it.
As previously reported the big premiere will have a whopping two hours to fill. So, they’ll definitely have enough time to cram in multiple storylines to kick everything off. Season 14 is currently set to debut on Thursday night, September 28,2017 at 7 pm central standard time on ABC. Stay tuned.
