A ‘Days Of Our Lives’ Major Star Has Shockingly Left The Show

Happy Thursday “Days Of Our Live” fans. We’ve got some huge and startling news to share with you guys in this article. It turns out that one of the show’s major stars is about to exit right when they’re in the midst of a serious storyline!

According to the folks over at soapcentral.com, actress Marci Miller who currently plays character Abigail Deveraux on the show, has abruptly decided to she wants to quit! That’s right guys. It appears that Marci is about to hit the trails.

Soapcentral also pointed out that Marci just got nominated for an Emmy award this year for her portrayal of Abigail, and that makes this departure news even more shocking. She was recently nominated for “Outstanding Lead Actress Daytime.”

Soapcentral’s sources told them that Marci apparently wants to pursue other opportunities in film and on primetime television. She better hope that decision works out for her because this means she’s unemployed at the moment. They say she hasn’t made a public statement to address her departure yet. We’re sure she built up some sort of a fan following on various social media channels during her year and a half stint on the show. So, maybe she’ll post something in the near future.

Soapcentral also mentioned that some sources for Soap Opera Digest said, “Marci has been planning her exit for a while.” If that’s true, it sounds like she may have just been using “Days Of Our Lives” to get her foot in the door so to speak since she really hasn’t been on the show that long. She took over the Abigail role from actress Kate Mansi back in November 2016.

It’s reported that Marci will be immediately replaced with another actress, and we just happen to know who that actress is, and guess what? You guys are already very familiar with her. In fact, we’ve already mentioned the actress’ name in this very article.

It turns out that Kate Mansi who previously played Abigail from 2011 to 2016 is returning to reprise the role! They say it’s just for a short time though. She doesn’t have plans to return permanently. During Kate’s stint as Abigail, she won an Emmy Award for “Outstanding Supporting Actress” in 2017.

Recently, the Abigail storyline has gotten pretty crazy with her going in and out of split personalities. Her Gabby personality hooked up with Stefan which created a huge mess when her husband Chad found out. Abigail has also recently learned that her alter ego Gabby personality was responsible for killing Andre. In today’s May 10, 2018 episode, we saw Abigail ask Chad about Gabby and Stefan’s relationship.
