Big Brother Host Julie Chen Possible Very Good News Revealed

Big Brother Host Julie Chen Possible Very Good News Revealed

Hey fellow Big Brother fans. We’ve got another brand new report for you guys in reference to long time Big Brother host Julie Chen. As most of yo are aware, her husband Les Moonves recently got fired from CBS as the network CEO after very serious allegations of sexual harassment came out.

This inevitably caused trouble for Julie Chen as she recently decided to quit her co-hosting gig on CBS’ “The Talk” morning show. When we ran this report, we were not sure if Julie Chen was still on board to continue hosting Big Brother for future seasons. Well now, thanks to the folks over at TMZ, we have some new insight into what Julie’s decision might be, and it sounds very positive!

TMZ reporters are claiming in one of their latest articles that Julie Chen is definitely staying on as the host of Big Brother! Yes, it’s true guys. That’s what they’re hearing. TMZ said they spoke to insiders over at CBS who are telling them that CBS obviously doesn’t “want to punish Julie for her husband Les Moonves’ alleged misdeeds. So, she will finish the current season and the plan is for her to return.”

That’s great news for Julie, but does Julie want to return to Big Brother? TMZ reporters answered that question too. They say they spoke with sources that are close to Julie Chen, and they are saying, “She will absolutely finish the season and wants to return for future seasons.”

So, with that important intel, it appears that we can assume Julie will continue her hosting duties for Big Brother. We’re very happy to hear this. She’s been hosting Big Brother since it very first started airing in the USA way back in 2000.

The TMZ article went on to say how it makes sense Julie quit “The Talk” and stayed on at Big Brother. “The Talk” would require her to talk about serious news issues which would include her husband which would be a crazy conflict of interest. Where as with Big Brother, Julie’s not required to do anything else except host the show and read whatever they have on the cue cards for her.

As of right now, it’s still hasn’t been officially announced by Julie Chen that she’s staying on at Big Brother. So, it’s not an absolute yet, but it is a very positive sentiment of her future status as host of Big Brother.

Big Brother still hasn’t been officially renewed for a new season 21, but we’re highly positive it will be considering it’s a summer ratings champ for CBS. I mean it does so well that CBS would have to be absolutely out of their freaking minds to cancel it.

If the worst case scenario happened and CBS did cancel it, it’s highly likely another one of the big networks like ABC, NBC or FOX would just swoop right in and pick it up. Big Brother is a summer ratings beast right now. It cannot be destroyed.

Alright guys. So, how do you feel about this new, positive news for Julie Chen staying on as host of Big Brother? Are you happy about it? Or you sad about it? Or do you just not care one way or the other? Let us know in the Facebook comments.
