Kingdom Hearts 3 Director Just Released A Very Important Warning About The Game

Happy Sunday, “Kingdom Hearts” fans. We hope you guys are enjoying your weekend. We have some very important intel to share with you guys today. It comes from the Kingdom Hearts director himself Tetsuya Nomura. He hit up his official Twitter account earlier today, December 16, 2018 to confirm that the new Kingdom Hearts 3 game has been leaked online well before it’s scheduled, official release date of January 29, 2019!

He’s warning any fans that see this leaked version to please keep those leaks to themselves to not ruin it for everyone who is waiting for the official release. Also, he mentioned that the leaked version of the game does not include the epilogue and secret movie, which he claims are the biggest spoilers for Kingdom Hearts 3.

Tetsuya also revealed that he knows how this leak occurred, and that his team has been working tirelessy since last night to investigate the leak and see what they can do to fix it.

Tetsuya posted his long tweet as a photo letter since you can only type around 140 characters on Twitter. His photo, Twitter letter reads like this, “We’re aware that a small portion of Kingdom Hearts III has been circulating online before its official release. We are also aware as to how this has all happened. We’re sorry to see this caused concern amongst our fans who are excited for the release.

The whole team has been working together since yesterday night (Japan time) to investigate what we can do to better this situation. But first, we would like to ask that you do not share these videos. The game’s epilogue and secret movie, which are the biggest spoilers in this game, are planned to be released at a later date just in case. So, they will not be shown before the game’s release.

We want everyone to be able to equally experience the full game after its release. So, we ask for your continued support on this matter. We’re also very grateful that our fans have been warning each other already about the spoilers. Thank you very much. We’re one month out from the release. Let’s enjoy the game together when it releases on January 29, 2019. Director Tetsuya Nomura.” You guys can view that tweet on Tetsuya’s official Twitter account by Clicking Here.

The folks over at Polygon.com reported some additional intel about this matter. They’re reporting that seven or so copies of Kingdom Hearts 3 have leaked online. The leaks include screenshots and video footage of the game. They went on to say that someone had apparently gotten a hold of XboxOne copies of the game from somewhere in its disc-printing or distribution stream, and had shared videos of the game booting up and its main menu as proof to potential buyers.

The footage first showed up on a now-deleted Facebook Marketplace listing. After that, a couple of Youtubers got a hold of it to warn others about it. Then the Kingdom Hearts subreddit page supported stopping the leak by warning fast post removals and bans of anyone that attempted to post spoilers.

Polygon.com went on to explain that the person who leaked Kingdom Hearts 3 had some sort of connection to the game’s manufacturing and printing which is located somewhere in North Carolina. The culprit reportedly got away with selling around 10 copies of the game before his listing was removed from Facebook.

Twitter user @MysticDance posted a message on his Twitter about the person who leaked the game. It reads like this,”The person who leaked the copy of KH3 is tied to the local mob (or gang) in the area and is known for ripping off people, particularly the elderly. He’s been in trouble with the law before ,and people have warned about hiring him. He got the 30 copies through a connection of his.” That particular tweet was preserved on Imgur. Polygon.com went on to say that Youtube videos that featured the gameplay have reportedly been taken down. Some of the videos reportedly showed the guy taking the Kingdom Hearts 3 disc out of the Xbox One and reinserting it. He also showed the home menu on the console as proof.
