Pokemon Go Is Rewarding Extra Hatch Candy and Hatch Stardust Right Now

Happy Thursday “Pokemon Go” fans. We’ve got some great news for you guys today. It turns out that all you hardcore Pokemon Go players will get the chance to get your hands on some extra hatch candy and hatch stardust in a new event that has launched today, January 3, 2019!

According to the folks over at Gamespot.com, Pokemon Go has launched a new Adventure Sync Hatchathon event. It’s currently scheduled to last until Tuesday, January 15, 2019. During this event, players will reportedly get rewarded extra candy and stardust for hatching eggs!

Specifically, they say players will be able to earn twice the normal amount of Stardust and Candy for each Pokemon Egg they hatch. Additionally, Pokemon developer Niantic said that players will have a higher likelihood of receiving 5 and 10 km Eggs that can hatch into Pokemon like Elekid, Magby, and Chansey by spinning the Photo Disc at PokeStops and Gyms.

Gamestop.com also pointed out that by enabling Adventure Sync in the settings menu, it will allow the game to keep track of the distance you’ve walked even when it’s idle. This will reportedly make it a whole lot easier and much less taxing on your phone’s battery to hatch Eggs.

Gamespot.com also reported that Niantic is about to host Pokemon Go’s first Community Day of 2019. It’s scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 12, 2019. The event will feature such things like increased spawns of the Gen 2 starter Totodile. Additionally, players will be able to hatch Eggs at a quarter of their typical required distance during the Community Day event. This means that players will potentially be able to earn a ton of stardust and candy thanks to the ongoing Hatchathon bonuses.

Niantic has also delivered a new set of Field Research tasks for Pokemon Go. If players can complete enough of these to achieve a Research Breakthrough, it could lead to an encounter with one of several Legendary Pokemon, including two new possibilities: Ho-Oh and Lugia.

The game’s latest Legendary Heatran is scheduled to remain available in Raid Battles until January 15,2019.

Gamerant.com provided some more detailed information about the Pokemon Go Hatchathon event. They’re saying players will get double the hatch candy and double the stardust for every egg they hatch before approximately 4 pm eastern standard time, January 15,2019. The trainers will be more likely to receive the 5 KM and 10 KM eggs from PokeStops and gyms.

According to the official Pokemon Go site, the new Hatchathon event actually started yesterday, January 2, 2019 at approximately 1 pm Pacific Standard time. It will end on January 15, 2019 at approximately 1 pm Pacific Standard time.

How do you guys feel about getting a chance to collect double the hatch candy and hatch stardust? Are you happy about it? Are you sad about it? Or do you just not care one way or the other? Let us know in the Facebook comments.
