New NCIS Season 16 Episode 16 Delayed. Not Airing Tonight March 5, 2019
Hey, NCIS fans. Unfortunately, we have some disappointing news to share with you guys. It turns out that even though CBS’ original press release for episode 16 said it would be airing tonight, it is indeed not going to air tonight. We have no idea why. All that we know is that episode 16 is now scheduled to air next Tuesday night, March 12, 2019. So, be sure to mark that very important date down on your tv show calendars.
So, what is CBS airing instead of NCIS tonight? Well, according to the TV Guide listings, CBS is actually airing NCIS tonight, but it’s just a rerun. It’s the episode that originally aired way back on November 13, 2018. It’s entitled, “A Thousand Words.”
CBS’ official description for it reads like this, “After a mural by a street artist and activist is stolen, the NCIS investigation leads to a conspiracy regarding a Navy contractor and the safety of ocean mammals. Also, Bishop shares a special connection with the street artist.”
If any of you guys didn’t catch that episode the first time it aired, tonight’s your lucky night. For those of you who did see it and have no desire to watch it again, it is highly recommended that you schedule something else to watch or do tonight.
As we previously reported, CBS did put out their official press release for the upcoming episode 16 which does contain some brief spoiler teasers. If any of you guys don’t like spoiler teasers, it’s highly suggested that you exit this article right now. For those of you who don’t mind spoiler teasers, by all means please keep reading this article.
Now that our little spoiler warning is out of the way, let’s jump into this episode 16 press release description. It turns out that Jimmy is going to be extremely distraught after his father-in-law Ed tries to get him to tamper with very serious, murder investigation evidence. Also, Anthony DiNozzo Sr. will be back in action to try and help out with the case.
The full description reads like this, “Jimmy is torn between family and work after his father-in-law, Ed (Larry Miller), asks him to tamper with evidence from NCIS’ current murder investigation. Also, Ed’s poker buddy, Anthony DiNozzo, Sr. (Robert Wagner), offers to help with the case.” Episode 16 is entitled, “Bears and Cubs.”
CBS also served up a preview clip for episode 16. In it, Jimmy is seen telling Torres that he lied to Gibbs. Shortly after that, Gibbs is seen yelling for Jimmy to get in here. Then we see Torres telling Jimmy,”Good luck. You’re gonna need it.”
The clip also features Gibbs, Torres, McGee and Bishop out in the woods to do their investigation. Kasie is also seen in this clip telling Jimmy, “I have some weird news.” The clip shows some pretty intense gun-toting scenes from Torres and Gibbs. Again, episode 16 is scheduled to air next Tuesday night, March 12, 2019 at approximately 7pm central standard time on CBS. Stay tuned.
