American Horror Story Evan Peters Said He Will Not Return For Season 9

American Horror Story Evan Peters Said He Will Not Return For Season 9

Hey, “American Horror Story” fans. We’ve got some pretty unfortunate news for all of you Evan Peters fans out there. Apparently, he has decided that he needs to take a break from the American Horror Story series at least for season 9 anyways.

According to the folks over at Entertainment Weekly, a reporter from Extra recently caught up to Evan Peters at a WonderCon event, and this is where Evan uttered those tragic words. The reporter asked Evan, “In American Horror Story, are you involved with the new season?” Evan replied with, “No, I’m gonna sit a season out.” You guys can view that video on the reporter’s official Twitter account by Clicking Here.

The reporter captioned that video tweet with the following words: “Here is the video where Evan Peters told me he will not be returning to American Horror Story. This is the first time in nine seasons he will not be part of the show! #AHS”

So, there you have it,guys. Evan said after freaking eights seasons of American Horror Story, he’s finally ready to take a break. The good news is that Evan only mentioned he’s sitting out a single season, which means he could definitely be up for a return after he takes his break from season 9. Cross your fingers.

Some other good news is that we previously reported that actress Emma Roberts is already signed on to appear in the new, 9th season of American Horror Story. She’s actually the first confirmed casting news for season 9. Her season 9 character will have a boyfriend that’s played by Olympian Gus Kenworthy.

Entertainment Weekly pointed out that the theme for season 9 is still not yet known. This definitely doesn’t surprise us. It’s still very early, and even when it’s not early, creator Ryan Murphy likes to keep the plotlines top secret these days.

People.com revealed some extra intel as to why Evan has decided to pullout of season 9. Apparently, in some previous 2018 interviews, he expressed that he was starting to feel burnt out from playing sinister roles. He told GQ of playing sinister roles, “It’s just exhausting. It’s really mentally draining, and you don’t want to go to those places ever in your life. And so you have to go there for the scenes, and it ends up integrating it somehow into your life. You’re in traffic and you find yourself screaming and you’re like, ‘What the hell? This isn’t who I am.'”

He also said something similar in an interview with British GQ Style stating, “I think it was a full-on burnout. I’m going to take a break, regroup, decompress, get back in touch with what I feel like I want to do. Not that I didn’t want to do any of those roles. They’re exactly what I wanted to do. It was just zero to 100 instantaneously.” So yeah, I think he gave away some pretty clear signals that he was up for a much needed break from AHS.

For those of you who still want to see Evan Peters in something, he will be reprising his role as Quicksilver in the big, new X-Men movie titled,”Dark Phoenix.” Entertainment Weekly said it’s still not known if Evan will show up in the 2nd season of Ryan Murphy’s other FX show “Pose.”
