The Blacklist Season 7 Is Happening. NBC Renewed It. Spoilers Coming Soon

Hey, “The Blacklist” fans. We hope you guys enjoyed the conclusion of season 6 tonight. For those of you who did, we’ve got some excellent news for you. We can officially let you guys know that The Blacklist will indeed be back for a brand new season 7 this Fall 2019! NBC did officially renew it!

Actually, we never really had any doubts that NBC would renew it. The LIVE viewership and ratings for this show look fairly decent. We’ll get more into that a little bit later. The season 7 renewal means you guys can look forward to seeing more spoilers, cast interviews, preview clips, preview photos and all of that good stuff in the upcoming weeks and months.

It’s currently not yet known when season 7 will officially debut, but we’re guessing it will probably be in late September 2019 because that’s usually when the new fall line-up starts premiering new seasons.

The season 7 renewal was actually announced way back in March 2019 according to the folks over at TV Line . During the announcement,the co-presidents of scripted programming at NBC, Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta, had some positive words to say about the show.

They stated,”Congratulations to our amazing producers, cast and crew. All of whom continue to work at the top of their game and make The Blacklist one of NBC’s signature series.”

We currently don’t yet know how many episodes season 7 will offer up. However, with the ratings and viewership numbers that season 6 pulled in, we think it’s pretty likely that NBC will order up another full, 22 episode season. We’ll definitely have more specific details about that later this summer.

TV Line also pointed out that The Blacklist main stars: James Spader, Megan Boone, Diego Klattenhoff and Harry Lennix are all confirmed to return for season 7. So, that’s definitely a good thing.

Now, it’s time to go over the numbers for The Blacklist season 6. It averaged around 3.981 million viewers per episode and a 0.57 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The season 6 premiere episode brought in 4.154 million viewers and a 0.85 ratings score.

After that, the LIVE viewership and ratings numbers held very steady. The most recent episode 21 that aired on May 10, 2019 brought in 4.030 million viewers and a 0.60 ratings score.
