Legacies Season 2 Spoiler: A Special New Vampire Is Getting Added To The Mix

Hey, Legacies fans. We hope you guys are having a great summer and offseason so far. We’ve got some very important news for the season 2 front. It just recently came out from the folks over at TVguide.com.

Apparently, they were able to catch up to the show’s main executive producer Julie Plec while she was attending the 2019 ATX Television Festival out in Austin, Texas about a week or so ago.

It turns out we’re going to see a new, very special vampire arrive on the scene. That’s right, guys. Julie teased that a new vampire is coming to town, and has supposedly been asleep for a very, very long time! You see, what makes this vampire so special is the circumstances by which he arrives at Alaric’s special school.

First of all, Julie pointed out that this new vampire is going to be extremely freaking old, but he won’t look like it. In fact, he will look like he’s around 17 years old. You know? Kind of like Edward Cullen in Twilight Saga. Something like that.

Next, Julie went on to explain that this new vampire will have apparently been desiccated at some point in the 15th century and then reawakened in the 21st century. This will, of course, cause this teenage vampire to feel quite awkward since the last time he saw civilization, electricity didn’t even exist.

Here’s exactly what Julie Plec had to say about this new vampire: “We’re really excited about a new character that we’re introducing. We really want to bring in an old, old, old-world vampire. We made the rule for our school that the vampires who go to our school actually need to be teenagers.

Not hundreds of years old because then you get into some creepy math. But we want to introduce a vampire who kind of got desiccated when he was 17 in maybe the 15th century and now wakes up in the 21st century and realizes that all the rules of being a vampire have changed and that he does not fit in into this very modern world.”

How do you guys feel about this new vampire that’s possibly 600 or so years old, but looks like he’s 17? Do you think it’s a good twist or not? Let us know in the comments section.

In addition to all of that, TV Guide make it a point to reiterate that Hope will still be missing in action. As we previously reported, Hope will indeed be trying to make it back to her former life after having to dive in that horrid mud pit from hell.

Poor Rafael will still be stuck as a wolf because Hope was careless enough to make her the only one who change him back. I mean what was she thinking?

Anyways, that’s sort of the rough draft that season 2 has developed into for right now. We are very sure we’re going to hear a lot more when the cast and crew shows up at this year’s San Diego, California Comic-Con event next month. We’ll be posting all the details of that event pretty soon. So, be on the lookout for that.

Currently, we don’t yet have an official premiere date for season 2. We’re still waiting for The CW to make that announcement. We’re expecting it to come pretty soon though. We’ll definitely let you guys know when we find out.

Also, it hasn’t been revealed how many episodes season 2 will feature. Season 1 got a 16 episode order. We’re hoping CW gives season 2 a full 22 episode season. Cross your fingers.

Alright guys. That’s all we’ve got for this latest “Legacies” report, but definitely expect more in the future.
