‘The Bachelorette’ July 1, 2019 Eliminated Mike, Garrett And Connor S (Recap)

Hey, “The Bachelorette” fans. Tonight, July 1, 2019,the show did indeed air, and it ended with the headliner Hannah Brown revealing who she wanted to take to the hometown dates.

It kicked off with Hannah taking Jed out on a 1 on 1 date. They ended up taking a walk and talking to some older lady who said she has been with her man for like 50 years or something. Hannah and Jed were like, “Wow, that’s amazing!” After that, Jed and Hannah talked for a bit and kissed.

On the second half of their date, Hannah confessed some big,big things to Jed. She told Jed, “I’m falling in love with you.” Jed, of course, said it back. So, a lot of progress was made in that moment.

At one point, Jed said, “I won’t be able to sleep tonight.” Hannah said, “Maybe I can help you sleep.” Hannah also mentioned to Jed that she’s exhausted with trying to get so into the other dates at this point or something like that. Anyways, she gave Jed a rose, and they kissed. That solidified Jed’s spot for Hometowns.

During Jed and Hannah’s 1 on 1 date, it was also revealed that Tyler C got a 1 on 1 date card with Hannah. So, they showed their 1 on 1 date footage next. Hannah and Tyler ended up going horseback riding.

Afterwards, they talked. Tyler tried to open up about how he was feeling lately, but he couldn’t quite get all the words out that Hannah was looking for. So, she kept probing him for answers.

On the second half of their date, Tyler realized that he needed to open up more, and he did. He told Hannah about how his parent’s marriage failed when he was growing up and so on and so forth. He thanked Hannah for continually pressing him for answers and getting him to open up.

Hannah said she was proud that he opened up. She told Tyler, “I wanna know who you are, and I want to meet your family.” Then she gave him the rose and a passionate kiss. That series of activities, of course, solidified Tyler C’s spot in Hometowns.

Next, it was revealed that Mike got a 1 on 1 date, and the rest of the guys: Luke P, Peter, Connor S and Garrett got the group date.

At this point, Connor S expressed to the private cams that he was upset about not getting a 1 on 1 date before hometowns. He said he really needed that time before Hometowns. So, he went and talked to Hannah about his concerns.

Hannah told Connor, “You seemed sort of distant on our past group dates. There are currently other relationships that I have stronger feelings with.” She basically told Connor he waited too long to come have this 1 on 1 talk with her. Then she sent him right on home after that! Wow! There will be no hometown date for Connor S. He gone!

Next, we saw Mike and Hannah’s 1 on 1 date. During it, they went and got a painting done of them. They also tried on different clothes and so on and so forth. They appeared to have a great time. However, Hannah told the private cams that she doesn’t really feel that confident about how she feels about Mike. So, that was definitely not good.

During the second half of their date, surely enough, Hannah broke down and told Mike that she basically can’t be his future wife, and she already knows it.

Mike told her, “I know that was hard for you to say. I can’t say that I’m happy about it, but thank you for being honest.” So, he was sent off in his exit limo. Hannah wasn’t playing games in this episode. People had to go, and she was getting it done.

Back at the house, Luke P made another rude comment about being glad to see the other guys’ suitcases getting taken. Tyler C, Garrett, Jed and Peter definitely didn’t like it, and they let Luke P know that he just needs to keep his mouth shut.

Next, we saw the group date footage. Hannah took the guys: Luke P, Peter and Garrett to have drinks. Luke P immediately pulled Hannah to the side and badmouth Jed, Garrett and Tyler C. He claimed they were picking on him like he was in pre-school or something.

Hannah said, “I just can’t understand why the other guys are mean to you.” Of course, Luke P said they’re just jealous or some BS like that.

After that, Hannah talked with Garrett and told him what Luke P said about him. Apparently, there was a moment where Garrett said he talked to Luke P just to be cordial, but that he doesn’t really like him.

Hannah confronted Garrett about it. Garrett totally confessed to it. He said he didn’t feel comfortable with just being outright rude to someone. Hannah wanted him to be real at all times. Garrett said, “I had so many nice things I wanted to talk about, and Luke P has once again making the show all about him.”

Garrett surely enough went back and confronted Luke P about talking about him again. So, that got pretty dramatic. Then Luke P told Peter what he did, and that ticked Peter off too. Peter said to Luke P, “You’ve probably put Hannah in a bad head space again. I’m done talking to you, man.”

In spite of all that, Peter and Hannah did have a good conversation. Afterwards, Hannah gave Peter the group date rose. That,of course, solidified Peter for Hometown dates.

That left just Garrett and Luke P for the final rose. Garrett kept taunting Luke P because he felt so confident that he was finally going home. I honestly don’t know why Garrett felt that confident because his 1 on 1 talk with Hannah didn’t really go all that well from the footage we saw.

Anyways, both Luke P and Garrett did get the chance to have another 1 on 1 talk with Hannah before she handed out that final, valuable rose. Luke P told Hannah all about his past when he just chased after sex, and how God changed him and so on and so forth.

Hannah really liked Luke P’s story and kissed him. She told the private cams of Luke P, “I felt connected to him.”

Garret told Hannah, “You helped me grow so much, and I love you.” Hannah liked that, and they kissed.

Finally, at the end of the episode, Hannah chose to give that final rose to Luke P. Garrett had a good attitude about the whole thing. He gave Hannah a couple of kisses on the cheek and said, “I’ll miss you, Hannah.”

I think at that point, Garrett just resided to the fact that Hannah is just too dense to realize how awful Luke P is and that there’s nothing he can really do about that. I don’t blame him.

The good news is it looks like Hannah finally wakes up and smells the coffee when Luke P slips up on the fantasy suite dates. They showed some preview footage of it, and he makes a remark about quitting the show if she had sex with any of the other guys or something.

That totally ticks Hannah off. This is the point where Hannah tells Luke P, “I have had sex, and guess what! Jesus still loves me!” I love that. Wow!

Hannah is also seen flipping Luke the bird as his exit limo drives off! That will be a moment to remember. I can’t wait to see it play out.

I don’t get it. I think Hannah is spot on. Am I the only one to find many of the men to be hypocrites? Especially Garrett – he’s so pompous – it’s ugly. He’s always in Luke’s business – and for a while Mike was too. I’m glad Garrett and Mike are gone.

As for Luke, he’s a man-child in the process of making big changes in his life and he’s unclear how to navigate it all. New faith can make a person evangelical until they settle into it and find their balance. It may take some time and growing up, but I see sincere desire to get there.

Hannah is my favorite Bachelorette to date. She’s got great judgement and instincts, she is direct and makes her own decisions. She’s far from dense. She’s brilliant and I’m so impressed with her.
