‘Black Lightning’ Season 3, November 4, 2019 Episode 5 Delayed. Not Airing Tonight

Hey, “Black Lightning” fans. Unfortunately, we’ve got some crappy news for you guys in this article. It turns out that for whatever reason, The CW will not be airing the new episode 5 of this current season 3 tonight.

It has been confirmed that this will just be a one-week delay. That means you guys can expect to see the new episode 5 air next Monday night, November 11, 2019 at approximately 8 pm central standard time on The CW of course. So, be sure to mark down that very important date on your TV show schedules.

So, what will the CW be airing in place of Black Lightning tonight? According to the TV Guide listings, The CW is actually airing an episode of “Black Lightning.” They’re just not going to be airing a new episode. It will be a repeat of the season 3, episode 1 premiere episode.

That particular episode is titled, “The Book of Occupation: Chapter One: Birth of Blackbird.” The CW’s official description for it reads like this, “Season 3 opens with Jefferson Pierce and Lynn in the hands of the ASA as Agent Odell tightens his grip on the Pierce family, leaving Jennifer abandoned and Freeland without Black Lightning and Thunder.

But Anissa secretly defies Odell in her alter ego as Blackbird with the able tactical and technical support of Gambi.”

If any of you missed that particular episode when it first aired, you might want to still flip on The CW tonight. If you did see that episode and don’t want to watch it again, you will certainly want to find something else to do or watch tonight.

With all that said, we do have some good news for you guys. The CW did release a new press release and preview clip for episode 5. These two items do contain light spoilers. If you don’t like spoilers, it’s highly recommended that you exit this article right now.

If you don’t mind spoilers, by all means please keep reading this article. Now that we’ve gotten our spoiler warning out of the way, let’s yank out this press release. For starters, it reveals that episode 5 is titled, “The Book of Occupation: Chapter Five.”

It sounds like episode 5 will feature some more very intense,dramatic and interesting scenes. In the new episode 5, Jefferson will definitely not be having a good time at all in regards to dealing with the effects on his family.

In response to that, he’s certainly not going to make things any better. In fact, Jefferson will end up making things much worse by making a choice that results in horrific consequences! Oh, no!

Elsewhere, Anissa is going to run into a major problem in this episode. At some point, there will be someone out there threatening to expose Anissa’s true identity!

Then Agent Odell will be very busy in regards to Jennifer. Apparently, he is going to make great strides towards winning Jennifer over.

The CW’s official description for episode 5 tells us, “Jefferson (Cress Williams) struggles with the effects on his family, leading to a decision with tragic consequences. Meanwhile, Anissa’s (Nafessa Williams) identity is threatened. Lastly, Agent Odell (guest star Bill Duke) takes an important step toward winning over Jennifer (China Anne McClain).”

In the new preview clip for episode 5, Jefferson is seen telling Anissa, “It should never feel normal living through an occupation. The moment it does, you will find yourself on the wrong side of history.”

At some point, Inspector Henderson is seen saying, “If you see something, say something.” Those scenes are coupled with a lot of other, very heavy action and drama scenes.

Episode 5 will also feature actors Damon Gupton as character Bill Henderson and Jordan Calloway as character Khalil Payne.

Episode 5 was directed by Robert Townsend, and it was written by Brusta Brown and John Mitchell Todd.

Again, The CW’s press release confirmed that episode 5 is scheduled to air next Monday night, November 11, 2019 at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
