‘Charmed’ Season 2, December 13, 2019 Episode 9 Delayed. Not Airing Tonight

Hey, “Charmed” fans. Unfortunately, we’ve got some very bad news for you guys tonight. It turns out that your favorite supernatural drama is on a bit of a hiatus at the moment. That means The CW will not be airing the next, new episode 9 of Charmed season 2 tonight, December 13, 2019.

It turns out that last week’s episode 8 was indeed the Fall finale episode. We do have the premiere date for episode 9. It’s officially scheduled to air on Friday night, January 17, 2020 in its usual 7 pm central standard time slot on The CW of course. So, be sure to mark down that very important date on your TV show calendars as soon as possible.

So, What is The CW airing tonight? According to the TV Guide listings, The CW is airing a Christmas parade special called, “88TH ANNUAL HOLLYWOOD CHRISTMAS PARADE.”

The CW’s official description for it reads like this, “The 88th Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade with a mix of marching bands, floats and celebrities.” It’s going to last a whopping two hours, taking up the entire primetime spot.

Then next Friday night, December 20, 2019, The CW will be airing a new Pen & Teller special called, “PENN & TELLER: FOOL US” in the 7 pm to 8 pm central standard time slot.

It’s the 4th episode of its 6th season. The episode is titled, “Penn & Teller Cure the Common Code.” The CW’s official description for it reads like this,”Aspiring magicians perform their best trick to try and fool Penn & Teller, who will get to see the trick only once and have to immediately try to work it out.

Anyone who succeeds wins the right to perform with Penn & Teller in their celebrated show at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Magicians include Anna DeGuzman, Raffaele Scircoli, Allen Abbott and Axel Hecklau.”

After those two dates, it’s a mystery what The CW will air in place of Charmed because the TV guide listings don’t show anything beyond the immediate two weeks.

If any of those specials seem enticing to you, you might want to still tune into The CW to watch them. If not, you will certainly want to find something else to watch or do for the next couple of weeks.

With all of that said, we do have a little more intel on the new, 9th episode of Charmed season 2. The CW did release a new preview clip for it. We must warn you that it does contain light spoiler teasers. So, if you don’t like spoilers, we highly recommend that you exit this article right now.

If you don’t mind reading spoilers, by all means please stick around. Now that our spoiler warning is out of the way, let’s talk about this new episode 9 preview clip.

The preview clip doesn’t show many dialogue scenes. It mostly features a couple of different intense and dramatic action scenes. The clip caps off with the girls realizing they just beat the crap out of their dad.

Once they realize who he is, they say, “Dad, you’re alive?!” Needless to say,the girls are extremely shocked. You guys can view the new preview clip for episode 9 over on Youtube by Clicking Here.

Currently, the second season of Charmed is averaging between 600,000 to 700,000 LIVE viewers per episode and a 0.17 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The last episode 8 brought in around 606,000 Live viewers and a 0.16 ratings score.

We are still waiting to see if The CW will renew Charmed for a new season 3. It’s still rather early. So, we’ll wait and see. The numbers look ok for a CW show.
