‘Vikings’ Season 6, December 25, 2019, Episode 5 Delayed. Not Airing Tonight

Hey, “Vikings” fans. We unfortunately have some very bad news for you guys tonight. It turns out that the History Channel has opted not to air the next,new episode 5 of “Vikings” current and last season 6 tonight, December 25, 2019.

If we had to guess the reason why, it would probably have to do with it being the Christmas holiday and all.

Whatever the case, we can officially tell you that the new episode 5 will indeed air next Wednesday night, January 1, 2020 in its usual 9 pm central standard time slot on The History Channel of course. So, be sure to write down that very important date on your TV show calendars.

So, what will The History Channel air instead of Vikings tonight. According to the TV Guide listings for The History Channel East, The History Channel is airing a special documentary about the food business called, “THE FOOD THAT BUILT AMERICA.” It’s the 3rd episode of its first season. It’s titled, “The Spoils of War.”

The History Channel’s official description for it reads like this, “As the Great Depression hits, the titans of food push the envelope of innovation to feed a hungry nation. Then WWII sees competing industrial empires joining the war effort in a united front to fuel the forces fighting for freedom abroad.

And in Post-War America, visionaries like Harland Sanders, the McDonald brothers and Ray Kroc battle to revolutionize the restaurant industry, and pave the way for the golden age of the American dream.”

If that sounds like something you want to watch, you might still want to watch The History Channel tonight. If not, you will definitely want to make other plans if you haven’t already.

With all of that said, we do have some new intel for the new episode 5 of this current season 6 of Vikings. The History Channel served up an official teaser description/synopsis for episode 5. It does contain spoiler teasers. If you don’t like spoilers, we highly suggest that you exit this article right now.

If you don’t have a problem with spoilers, we definitely think you should stick around for this teaser description. It’s quite informative.

Now that our spoiler warning is in place, let’s dive into this new episode 5 teaser description. For starters, episode 5 is officially named , “The Key.” It sounds like episode 5 will feature some very interesting, dramatic, intense and action-filled scenes.

In the new episode 5,Norway’s Kings and Jarls are going to arrive at Harald’s territory for the election of the King of all Norway. Olaf will think the results of this election are very clear. However, it may not turn out the way he thinks it will.

Elsewhere, Lagertha’s village will be in a very anxious state because they’re anticipating another vicious attack might take place. However, Lagertha will feel some relief when Gunnhild shows up with some re-enforcements.

Igor and Ivar will be in action in this episode. While in Kiev, Igor and Ivar will engage in subterfuge. During this time, a ghost from Ivar’s past will totally shock the hell out of him!

The History Channel’s official description for episode 5 reads like this, “As Norway’s Kings and Jarls arrive at Harald’s territory for the election of the King of all Norway, Olaf is certain of the result.

However, it may not go as smoothly as he believes. Lagertha’s village is anxious in anticipation of another attack and she is relieved when Gunnhild arrives with re-enforcements. In Kiev, Igor and Ivar engage in subterfuge and Ivar is stunned when he encounters a ghost from his past.”

The History Channel also released a new preview clip for episode 5. The clip starts off with Gisla being told that an attack on her is imminent,and that she has to kill Ivar.

Again, The History Channel confirmed that the new episode 5 is scheduled to air next Wednesday night, January 1, 2020 at approximately 9 pm central standard time.
