‘General Hospital’ December 31, 2019 & January 1, 2020 Episodes Delayed. Not Airing

Hey, “General Hospital” fans. Unfortunately, we have more bad news for you guys in this article. We have just learned that ABC will not be airing new episodes of your favorite soap opera General Hospital on both Tuesday, December 31, 2019 and Wednesday, January 1, 2020.

Yep, that’s right, guys. It appears that ABC just doesn’t want to ring in the new year with new episodes of General Hospital.

We can officially tell you that General Hospital will return with all new episodes on Thursday afternoon, January 2, 2020 in its usual 1 pm central standard time slot on ABC of course. So, be sure to mark down that very important date on your Soap Opera schedules.

So, what is ABC going to air instead of General Hospital tomorrow and Wednesday? According to the TV guide listings, ABC is actually going to air a repeat episode of General hospital tomorrow, December 31, 2019.

It will be the one that originally aired back on December 29, 2017. ABC’s official description for it reads like this, “Sam runs into Jason. Jason voices his regrets, and Drew’s car breaks down.”

Then on Wednesday, January 1, 2020, ABC is going to provide LIVE coverage for a major college football playoff game called, “The Citrus Bowl.” It will feature the Michigan Wolverines against the Crimson Tide.

ABC’s official description for this major sporting event reads like this, “Michigan (9-3) vs. Alabama (10-2). From Camping World Stadium in Orlando. The Wolverines can win 10 games for the fourth time in Jim Harbaugh’s five years against the Crimson Tide, who will miss the Playoff for the first time since its inception in 2014.”

If that alternate schedule looks appealing to any of you guys, you might still want to watch ABC this Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon. If it doesn’t, you will most certainly want to look for something else to do or watch on those days.

With all of that said, we do have some new intel for the next, new General Hospital,Thursday, January 2, 2020 episode. ABC released a new teaser description for it. We must warn you that it does contain light spoiler teasers. So, if you don’t like spoilers, we do highly suggest that you close out of this article right now.

If you don’t have a problem with reading spoilers, we definitely want you to stay. Now that our spoiler warning is out of the way, let’s dig into this new General Hospital, January 2, 2020 episode teaser description.

It sounds like the new Thursday, January 2, 2020 episode will feature some pretty interesting and possible intense and emotional scenes.

In the new January 2, 2020 episode, Carly is going to be very insistent or adamant about something. Sonny will certainly feel like he’s been betrayed, and he will wrestle like hell with these feelings!

Laura will have a chit chat session with Charlotte at some point in this episode. During this talk, Laura will attempt to persuade Charlotte into doing something.

ABC’s official description for the January 2, 2020 episode reads like this, “Carly is insistent. Sonny feels betrayed. Laura tries to persuade Charlotte.”

Again, ABC confirmed that General Hospital will certainly be back with the next, new episode this Thursday, January 2, 2020 at approximately 1 pm central standard time.
