‘General Hospital’ January 24, 2020 Episode Delayed, Preempted In The USA

Hey, “General Hospital” fans. It is with great sadness that we are here again today, January 24, 2020 with more bad news. We’ve just gotten confirmation from the folks over at Soaps.com that ABC did indeed preempt/delay “General Hospital” again today, January 24, 2020 nationwide to air LIVE coverage of the Donald Trump impeachment trial.

This latest preemption marks the 4th day in a row that ABC has done this, and a bunch of General Hospital fans are highly ticked off about it.

The messages we saw for today’s impeachment trial session read like this, “Rep.Adam Schiff Presents Arguments On Abuse Of Power” and “Soon: House Managers Begin Arguments On Obstruction Of Congress.” So, it seems like they’re getting deeper into the trial. Hopefully, an end to this madness will come soon.

According to Soaps.com some ABC affiliate stations did still air General Hospital, but they were just repeat episodes of the one that aired back on Thursday August 1, 2019, in which Hayden made a confession to Finn, Lulu got drunk and Alexis got closer to Neil.

We’re guessing the stations that ran the repeats were on the west coast because we noticed that ABC did end their coverage of the trial by the time 1 pm Pacific time hit. But, of course, that’s no good to run a repeat. Who wants to see that? Ugh!

Anyways, we collected a couple more angry Twitter tweets from various General Hospital fans. We thought they would be fun to read. I mean some of them are like a soap opera in and of themselves.

We’ll start with Twitter user Couch Potato Cop @CouchPotatoCop. They wrote, “So “General Hospital” will be preempted indefinitely until the impeachment hearings are completed. We’re still in OPENING ARGUMENTS–after a week.

OK guys, see you in April !!@GeneralHospital @valentinifrank @ABCNetwork @soapsindepthabc.” You guys can view that tweet on Twitter by Clicking Here.

Terri @terrib1233 wrote, “@GeneralHospital I’ve been watching GH for 50+ years. It’s the best drama series ever! I’m a busy person but I make sure I never miss it.

Right now I’m having GH withdrawals. Just make sure we get to see all the recent episodes!” You guys can view that tweet by Clicking Here.

Patriotic Girl #IVapeIVote @PatrioticGirl71 wrote, “@GeneralHospital and @finolahughes Why is it that ALL Shows are aired on @hulu EXCEPT General Hospital? I’m paying for Cable,Hulu, & Netflix. But yet , I’m not able to watch the 1 Show I’ve been watching since the 80’s ?!

All because of an Impeachment Hearing that can be watched EVERYWHERE ?! This is BS !” You guys can view that tweet by Clicking Here.

Patty Flores @deadlywitch13 @GeneralHospital This is ridiculous were going to mess all the action how can watch this weeks episodes??” You can view that post on Twitter by Clicking Here.

Jackie Hite @JackieHite9 wrote, “@tennisprincess2 and @GeneralHospital I’m also upset no gh since monday. Us people want to see gh at 3:00 this is extremely awful we cant watch our soap at 3:00.” You can view that tweet by Clicking Here.

As of right now, we haven’t heard of any plans for ABC to possibly air their preempted General Hospital episodes online. NBC is currently doing that with their “Days Of Our Lives” soap opera.

CBS is doing it with their “Young And The Restless” soap opera, but sadly, they aren’t doing it with their “Bold And The Beautiful” soap opera for some reason.

So, I guess we’ll end this article with what we ended yesterday’s article with. Just flip on your TV set on Monday and hope for the best. You might not get the best, but it doesn’t hurt to try.

Alright guys. That’s all we’ve got for this latest “General Hospital” TV show report, but definitely stay tuned for more.

General Hospital airs every Monday through Friday at 1 pm central standard time on ABC.
