‘General Hospital’ January 28, 2020 Episode Delayed, Preempted In The USA
Hey, “General Hospital” fans. We are back again today, January 28, 2020, with more unfortunate news for you guys. We’ve gotten confirmation that ABC did indeed preempt another General Hospital episode today in the United States. So, that makes it 6 days in a row now! Of course, this happened due to the President Donald Trump Impeachment trial.
Here’s the descriptions we saw for today’s impeachment trial coverage:”President Trump’s Counsel Patrick Philbin Presents Arguments.” “President Trump’s Defense Team Resumes Final Day Of Arguments.” “Pat Cipollone Presents Arguments On Behalf Of President Trump.”
Like we’ve said in previous articles, we’re not sure exactly what that means in terms of how much longer this trial will last, but when they say final arguments, that does give us some spark of hope that things will end in the not-too-distant future.
According to some of the rumblings we saw on Twitter today, ABC did have enough time to air a new episode of General Hospital in certain time zones, but they elected to air another round of repeat episodes of General Hospital.
As you can imagine, that really ticked off a lot of hardcore General Hospital fans, and they let the official General Hospital Twitter page know it.
We gathered up a few tweets from some angry fans that hit up Twitter today to express their frustrations with the preempted General Hospital episodes.
Twitter user Frank Bonini @FrankBonini wrote, “@GeneralHospital What’s With The Reruns?” You guys can view that tweet over on Twitter by Clicking Here.
Jillie @nordorado wrote, “@GeneralHospital why are you airing reruns when you could air new episodes and get us caught up? I don’t understand this. Disappointed.” You can view that tweet on Twitter by Clicking Here.
Sarah @Sarah73032638 wrote, “@GeneralHospital If impeachment hearings aren’t interrupting GH this week, why in the world are you airing OLD SHOWS???” You can view that tweet by Clicking Here.
SweetNizz @SweetNizz wrote, “@Becca27788817 and @GeneralHospital A repeat was aired today.” You can see that tweet by Clicking Here.
GHStraightTalk @GHStraightTalk wrote,”Yet another day of @ABCNetwork idiocy when it comes to #GH being preempted. Each day the stupidity of the execs is exponentially more staggering. #GeneralHospital @nathanvarni @valentinifrank.” You guys can view that tweet on Twitter by Clicking Here.
Those, of course, were just a few of the many other tweets we saw on Twitter today. The complaints just keep pouring in. Also, as far as we know, ABC is still refusing to post the preempted episodes on their ABC.com website.
Both NBC and CBS are currently doing that with all their soap operas now. CBS finally caved in and threw up preempted “Bold And The Beautiful” episodes after they started with “The Young And The Restless” first.
So, ABC is lagging behind the other networks at the moment. Hopefully, we’ll finally see ABC follow suit, but it’s doubtful.
With all that said, we’ll, once again, leave you with these hopeful words. Just turn on your TV tomorrow and hope for the best.
Alright guys. That’s all we’ve got for this latest General Hospital TV show report, but definitely stay tuned for more.
