‘The Bachelor’ February 17, 2020 Eliminated Kelsey Weier (Recap)
Hey,Bachelor Nation fans. Tonight, February 17, 2020, the new “The Bachelor,” Hometown dates episode did indeed air, and another unlucky lady met her elimination fate at the end.
Tonight’s episode kicked off with the Bachelor headliner Peter Weber going to see the lovely Hannah Ann in Knoxville,TN. She joked with Peter, saying that her father wants her to have a tough man. So, she took him to a lumberjack competition.
They had a lot of fun during their date and kissed a lot. At one point, Peter shared with Hannah Ann a list of 20 things he likes about her just like she did in the previous episode. So, Hannah Ann really appreciated that gesture, and they kissed some more.
After all of that, Peter finally met Hannah Ann’s family. Hannah Ann’s father kept looking at Peter with very concerned eyes the whole time. He wasn’t trying to hide his skepticism at all.
Peter told Hannah’s mother Jennifer that he is falling in love with Hannah Ann, but he hasn’t expressed that to her yet. Jennifer told Peter he definitely needs to express that to Hannah Ann’s very conservative father.
The father straight up asked Peter where he sees himself with Hannah compared to where he is with the rest of the girls. Peter said, “I do plan on telling Hannah Ann I’m falling in love with her.” The father said, “Do not say that to her unless you wholeheartedly mean it.”
Peter did eventually tell Hannah Ann, “I can honestly say I’m falling in love with you. You make me so happy.” Hannah Ann said, “I’m in love with you. This is gonna work.” Then they kissed, and they kept on kissing until it was time for him to leave.
Peter told the private cams of Hannah Ann, “I just want someone to want me as bad as I want them, and with Hannah Ann, I feel that.”
Next, Peter went to see Kelsey in her hometown of Des Moines, IA. She took him to a wine vineyard. They crushed their own grapes and created their own blends while sharing some kisses.
They tasted various wines and kissed some more. Kelsey told Peter she loves him, and they kissed again. Peter said, “I can definitely see a future with you” over another toast of wine.
Next, Peter met Kelsey’s family. They greeted Peter with big hugs. Kelsey told her sisters she would totally accept Peter’s proposal if she’s the final one.
Peter talked with Kelsey’s mother. They seemed to have a pretty delightful conversation. However, there was a point where she told him, “Don’t break my girl’s heart? Do you understand?” Peter said, “I understand.” Peter and Kelsey kissed some more as he got into his exit car.
After the Kelsey date, Peter headed out to Auburn,Alabama to see my personal favorite Madison! They both greeted each other with a big hug and kiss. Then Madison took Peter to Auburn Arena.
At one point, a video of former NBA great Charles Barkley played, and he told Peter, “You better treat that girl right.”
Next, the head coach of the Auburn Tigers basketball team Bruce Pearl showed up to greet them. He told Peter he hired Madison’s dad to be an assistant coach for him because he’s a good man, and that “The standard you’ll need to meet.”
After that, Peter and Madison did some basketball drills and played a half court game. Madison beat Peter 5-3. Afterwards, Peter said, “I can’t wait to meet your family” and so on and so forth. Then they kissed.
Next, we got footage of Peter meeting Madison’s family. As they gathered around the table, they all said something nice about Madison. Then they prayed over dinner.
Madison talked with her mother. The mother said, “Peter seems very nice and handsome, but I just don’t know at this point.” Madison mentioned that she’s saving herself for marriage,and she needs to tell Peter that.
Peter told Madison’s father Chad, “I am falling in love with Madison.” Chad said, “How do I know that’s genuine?” Peter said, “I just know how I feel about her right now, and I’m ready for this.”
Chad said, “I just don’t want you to break her heart.” Chad also kept asking Peter for guarantees. Peter told Chad, “I can’t give you a definite answer that Madison will be the last one right now, and I’m sorry about that.”
Shortly after that, Chad told Madison, “I’m not sure if Peter is the right one, but I’m not ready to close the door on him either.” Then they hugged.
Madison told the private cams, “I’m not ready to tell Peter I love him yet. I’ve got to make sure our spirits and souls are right.” However, they did kiss a lot and say a lot of sweet nothings to each other before he left.
Next, Peter hit up Virginia Beach,Virginia to see Victoria F. During their date, they hung out for a bit in town. They got ice cream and kissed. They had a really good time. Then Victoria took Peter to a country music concert with Hunter Hayes. Peter loved it. He was ecstatic, and they kissed while Hunter sang.
Afterwards, some girl named Marissa, who Peter used to date, showed up. They talked for a bit. Then she told him of Victoria F, “Just be careful. That’s all I’m going to say. You’re a great guy, and I don’t think you deserve who you’re on a date with right now.
I’m from here, and there’s been many relationships broken up over her, and I don’t think you deserve that. That’s all I’m going to say. I would hate to see that come to fruition for you.”
After that, Peter gave Marissa a hug goodbye, and he was obviously very concerned about what he just heard from Marissa.
Later on, Peter told Victoria about his conversation with Marissa. Victoria immediately got defensive as usual and said, “I’m just disgusted right now. It’s so much drama all the time!” Peter said, “Can we just talk about this? I just want to know the truth.”
Victoria said, “You’re supposed to meet my family tonight, and you decided that what Marissa told you is more important. I am so done with this conversation right now! Get away from me! I’m so serious! I hate this! It happens everytime! I can’t catch a break!
Later, Peter and Victoria talked again. He kept trying to have a real conversation with her about what he heard from Marissa, but she kept being really defensive.
She cried and said, “I care about you so much. I wanted you to meet my family so much.” Peter gave Victoria another hug and then he left without meeting her family. Then Victoria’s family ran out to hug her while she cried. I think that’s a first for this show. Wow!
The drama didn’t end there though. We saw footage of Victoria going to talk to Peter the next day in his hotel room. She told him, “I am falling in love with you.” Peter told Victoria, “You always walking away when things get tough between us terrifies me. Why do you walk away when it gets tough?”
Victoria said, “I guess it’s kind of what I’m used to, but I do love you. I’m sorry. I really, really am.” Peter told Victoria, “I don’t want to make a decision right now.” Then he gave her a hug goodbye.
Peter told the private cams of Victoria, “Even though I didn’t meet Victoria’s family, I still see that potential there.”
Next, we saw the rose ceremony. All the four girls arrived individually. Peter eventually gave Hannah Ann, Madison,and Victoria F a rose.
So, that meant poor Kelsey Weier was the unlucky lady left standing roseless with a broken heart.
In that moment, I was thinking, “Wow, was Kelsey that bad that he’s willing to put up with all of Victoria F’s drama?” Whatever the case, Peter definitely has a thing for Victoria F because he just will not let her go no matter what madness she throws at him.
Anyways, Peter walked Kelsey out. He told her the usual spill about how difficult it was. She said she was shocked. Peter gave her some comforting words before giving her a hug goodbye. Kelsey told the private cams, ” I’m shock and confused. It hurts really bad.” Poor thing.
