‘Young And The Restless’ April 3, 2020 Episode Delayed,Preempted Due To CBS Reschedule

In our search to find answers, we did finally find some from one of the CBS affiliate stations out in Jackson, Mississippi. They are WJTV. In their report, they revealed that it’s totally due to this crazy, worldwide pandemic that’s going on.

You see,the CBS soap operas have been forced to shut down production. That means they can’t make anymore new episodes. So, in an effort to preserve the new episodes they’ve already filmed, CBS has decided to air repeat/classic episodes of “The Young And The Restless” every Friday.

That’s right, guys. They’re going to do this every Friday for the month of April 2020. It’s currently unknown if they will continue this beyond April 2020. Right now, we just know they’re going to do it for April 2020.

In light of this rescheduling, you guys should only expect to see new episodes of The Young And The Restless to air Monday through Thursday for an indefinite period of time. So, this Monday’s April 6, 2020 episode will pick up where this past Thursday’s April 2, 2020 episode left off.

Today’s repeat/classic episode of The Young And The Restless featured Victor and Nikki Newman’s very old, first wedding episode.

We can only imagine this working for so long though. I mean CBS only has a limited number of new episodes to air.

This rescheduling will help them preserve the already-filmed, new episodes for a little while, but if they don’t get back to filming new episodes pretty soon, they will definitely run out of new episodes at some point. So, this pandemic is really crazy right now.

We can see CBS possibly getting forced to have to cut the new episodes down to just Monday through Wednesday at some point if they can’t get back to filming new episodes.

It will certainly be interesting to see how much longer they can keep this up. I believe The Young And The Restless films their new episodes about a month and half to 2 months ahead of their airdates.

If that is the case, they will definitely run out of new episodes in the next month or two. We’ll keep you guys updated on this craziness.

Alright guys. That’s all we’ve got for this latest “Young And The Restless”TV show report, but definitely stay tuned for more.

The “Young And The Restless” airs every Monday through Friday at approximately 11:30 am central standard time on CBS. Stay tuned.
