New ‘Perry Mason’ Spoilers For Season 1, July 12, 2020 Episode 4 Revealed

Hey, “Perry Mason” fans. We hope you guys enjoyed episode 3. Now that it’s officially wrapped up and in the can, it’s time for us to take a look at a couple of scenarios that will play out in the next, new episode 4, which is due out next Sunday night, July 12, 2020.

The terrific folks over at HBO were kind enough to reveal a couple teaser descriptions for episode 4 via their episode 4 press release. So, that’s what we’re going to run by you guys right now. Let’s get started.

First off, we’ve learned that episode 4 is simply titled, “Chapter Four.” It sounds like episode 4 will feature some possible interesting, dramatic and intense scenes as Mason and Strickland look for more help from Virgil. Birdy tries to get her daughter to give up baby Charlie. E.B. goes off on Della and more!

We’ll go ahead and start off this spoiler session with the Mason, Strickland and Virgil situation. It turns out that Mason and Strickland will, once again, be in need of some legal assistance. So, they will lean on Virgil’s guidance once more.

HBO’s official description for this Mason, Strickland and Virgil storyline reads like this, “Mason (Matthew Rhys) and Strickland (Shea Whigham) lean on Virgil (Jefferson Mays), again, for extra-legal assistance.”

What type of legal assistance will Mason and Strickland be needing this time? That’s a big question for this particular storyline. Whatever the case, it sounds like we could get some pretty interesting scenes out of this plotline.

The second spoiler scoop reveals that Birdy will be up to some pretty intense stuff in this episode. At some point, we’re going to see Birdy trying to urge her daughter to give up her claims to baby Charlie!

HBO’s description for this Birdy scenario reads like this, “Following Sister Alice’s (Tatiana Maslany) recovery from a frightening episode, Birdy (Lili Taylor) urges her daughter to renounce her claims about baby Charlie.”

Will Birdy’s intense efforts work to convince her daughter to give up the baby? That is certainly a major question we’ll be looking to see get answered in this episode. We definitely think this scenario will deliver some possible dramatic and emotional scenes when next Sunday night rolls around.

The 3rd and last teaser description lets us know that E.B. will certainly not be in a very good mood in this episode. The realities of his dire financial situation will have him frustrated to high heaven, and he’s going to take out all of his frustrations on poor Della!

HBO’s description for this E.B. and Della storyline reads like this,”E.B. (John Lithgow) faces the reality of his financial situation and takes his frustrations out on Della (Juliet Rylance).”

How will Della react to E.B. going off on her? That’s a big question for this particular scenario. It definitely sounds like we could get some very intense and dramatic scenes out of this storyline. No doubt. So, get ready for it.

Episode 4 was written by Steven Hanna & Sarah Kelly Kaplan, and it was directed by Deniz Gamze Erguven.

HBO’s press release confirmed that the next, new episode 4 of Perry Mason’s current season 1 is indeed scheduled to air next Sunday night, July 12, 2020 at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
