The Amazing Race November 4, 2020 Eliminated No One (Recap)

Hey, “The Amazing Race” fans. Tonight, November 4, 2020, another new episode of The Amazing Race’s 32nd season did indeed air.

Tonight’s episode kicked off with the teams learning they needed to fly to Asunción,Paraguay in South America to get this leg of the race started. Once they got to Paraguay, they had to go to the orquesto de reciclados to get their first clue.

Kaylynn and Haley got hung up on this one because their taxi driver didn’t know where the orquesto de reciclados is and got lost. That, of course, wasted lots of valuable time for them.

Meanwhile, the other teams that did get to the orquesto de reciclados with no problems got hit with a Road Block challenge. In this challenge, the teams had to head to the Landfill Harmonic and repurpose items from a landfield to correctly build a cello musical instrument.

Kaylynn & Haley also got stuck on this one for a really long time. They were the last ones to arrive at this challenge, and they were the last ones to complete it.

At one point, it was revealed that the “Yield” twist is still in play. However, none of the teams chose to use it on anyone in this episode.

After the instruments challenge was successfully completed by the teams, they had to go to Paseo de los Yuyos. Once they got there, they needed to find a marked vendor and correctly prepare tereré, which is the national drink Of Paraguay. Once they prepared it, they had to fill it in a termos to get their next clue.

After all of that, the teams got hit with the detours: “Balancing Bottles” or “Use Your Melon.”

In the “Balancing Bottles” detour, the teams had to perform the national dance of Paraguay while balancing a wine bottle on top of their had without ever dropping it for their next clue. If they dropped the bottle, they had to start the dance all over again.

In the “Use Your Melon” detour, the teams had to correctly stack up a ton of watermelons until they made a giant watermelon pyramid. Once it was approved, they got their next clue.

Hung & Chee decided to switch from the “Balancing Bottles” detour to the “Use Your Melons” detour because they just couldn’t find the patients to balance a bottle on their head while dancing. I can’t say that I blame them either. It looked tough.

Gary & DeAngelo got stuck on the “Use Your Melons” detour because their watermelons kept falling, and they couldn’t figure it out for a long time. It was dark outside before they finally completed it, and many teams passed them.

After the teams successfully completed the detours they chose to do, they were instructed to go to the Plaza Italia which was the pit stop for this leg of the race.

Will & James showed up in first place, and won $5,000 dollars each! Michelle & Victoria took 2nd place. Leo & Alana came in 3rd place. Riley & Maddison arrived in 4th place. Eswar & Aparna showed up in 5th place.

Hung & Chee took 6th place. Gary & DeAngelo managed to just snag that important 7th place spot. That means poor Kaylynn & Haley did indeed waste too much time and finished last. However, they were very fortunate because host Phil Keoghan told them it was a non-elimination leg.

That means Kaylynn & Haley will get to stick around, but they will have to complete a special Speed Bump challenge in the next leg to continue on in the rest of the race. So, no one was eliminated in tonight’s November 4, 2020 episode, but you can bet someone will get the shaft in next week’s episode.

The next, new Amazing Race season 32 episode is scheduled to air next Wednesday night, November 11, 2020 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on CBS.
