The Amazing Race November 18, 2020 Eliminated Alana Folsom & Leo Brown (Recap)

Hey, “The Amazing Race” fans. Tonight, November 18,2020, another new episode of The Amazing Race’s 32nd season did indeed air,and another unlucky team did get eliminated at the end of it. This one was a big,2-hour episode. So,we’ve got a lot to go over in this article.

Tonight’s episode kicked off with the teams learning they had to take a train to Berlin Germany. Once they got there, they had to go to the Eastside Gallery to get their first clue from a suitcase.

Once they got the clue, they were told they had to drive a Trabant car to a teledisco, which is a disco inside a booth. When they got there, they were presented with the “Get In The Groove” challenge. During it, they had to dance in the teledisco booth until the music stopped, and they had to take photos to get their next clue.

Kaylynn and Haley had trouble driving the Trabant car to the teledisco. So, they wasted a lot of time again.

After the teams finished up the teledisco task, they were told to drive to the Andel’s Hotel. They encountered an opportunity to use their a yields here, but none of the teams played their yields.

Will and James experienced trouble driving the Tribant car to the Andel’s hotel. Their clutch went out. So, they had to run on foot to the hotel.

At the hotel, the teams were given a Road Block challenge. During it, they had to run all the way up to the top of the hotel and repel 180 feet down the hotel while also remembering scrambled letters that were shown to them.

Then they had to unscramble those letters to form the correct word to get their next clue. The word turned out to be Sauerkraut.

Chee figured out the word first and gave the answer to DeAngelo and Gary to help them out. Then DeAngelo gave the answer to a couple of other teams that were there.

Chee started to regret giving the answer to DeAngelo because he took the only taxi that was there at the time, causing Chee & Hung to have to wait much longer to find another one. It also cost Chee and Hung the lead in the race.

Haley ran into trouble unscrambling the letters. She tried three times to do it and still couldn’t get the word right. So, she finally had to ask a stranger to help her unscramble the letters. She did, and that got them past this Road Block challenge.

Next, the teams ran into some detour challenges. They were: “Belt It Out” or “Belch It Out.”

In the “Belt It Out” detour, they had to learn a German song and sing it correctly to get their next clue.

In the “Belch It Out” detour, they had to learn four beer poses and teach them to a class to get their next clue.

After the teams finished up the detour they selected, they had to head to Neukolln, which was the pit stop for this leg of the race.

DeAngelo & Gary showed up first, and won $7500 each. Maddison & Riley took 2nd place. Chee & Hung came in 3rd place. Will & James came in 4th place. Eswar & Aparna took 5th place. Leo & Alana arrived in 6th place.

Kaylynn & Haley showed up last, but host Phil Keoghan told them it was a non-elimination leg. So, they got to stick around for a second time after finishing last. They picked the right legs to be last on. That’s for sure.

In the second hour, the teams were told they had to fly out to Almaty, Kazakhstan. Once they got there, they had to go to a movie studio to get their next clue.

When they got to the movie studio, Kaylynn & Haley were given their Speed Bump challenge for finishing last in the previous leg. During it, they had to correctly put prosthetic beards on each other to rejoin the race.

Meanwhile, the other teams were given detour challenges. They were: “Great Khan’s Spy” or “Knock Out Guy.”

In the “Great Khan’s Spy” detour, the teams had to memorize certain things that happened during a battle scene that was being filmed to get their next clue.

In the “Knock Out Guy” detour, the teams had to correctly perform some choreographed fighting movements in a action scene to get their next clue.

Kaylynn and Haley managed to pass up Leo & Alana during this one because Leo & Alana couldn’t get the answers to the Great Khan’s Spy challenge right for a really long time.

After the detours, the teams were given another yield opportunity. The other teams yelled out to Kaylynn and Haley to yield Alana and Leo if they want to stay in the race. So, they did it. Their yield forced Leo & Alana to have to stop the race for 20 minutes.

At this same time, the teams were presented a “There’s No Place Like Yurt” challenge. During it, the teams had to look at an example yurt to see how it was decorated inside. Then they had to correctly decorate a empty yurt the same way to get their next clue.

After they finished that up, they were directed to go to a meat market to find their next clue. After they got their meat market clue, they were told to go to First President Park, which was the pit stop for this leg of the race:

Will & James took first place and won a trip for 2 to Las Vegas from Travelocity. Riley & Maddison took 2nd place. Chee & Hung got 3rd place again. DeAngelo & Gary came in 4th place. Kaylynn & Haley made up some good ground by coming in 5th place. Eswar & Aparna got the very important 6th spot.

So, Poor Leo & Alana showed up last. That 20 minute yield delay from Kaylynn & Haley was most likely their undoing. Host Phil Keoghan did indeed confirm they were eliminated for showing up last.

Phil also revealed that next week’s new episode will feature the teams doing a mega leg, which doubles up on the detours and everything else. In other words, it’s going to be even tougher to complete.

The next, new “Amazing Race” season 32 episode is scheduled to air next Wednesday night, November 25, 2020 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on CBS.
