The Blacklist Season 8, November 27, 2020 Episode 3 Delayed. Not Airing For A While

Hey, “The Blacklist” fans. We hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving holiday. Unfortunately, in this article, we have some terrible news to tell you. It turns out that NBC is not going to air the next, new episode 3 of The Blacklist’s current season 8 tonight, November 27, 2020.

The last episode 2, which aired last Friday night, November 20, 2020 was the Fall finale episode. I know what you’re thinking: “But, the season just got started!” I know. I get it.

All I can tell you is this is what NBC decided to do. So, you guys are going to have to wait all the way until Friday night, January 22, 2021 to see the new episode 3. It will air in its usual 7 pm central standard time slot. So, be sure to mark down that very important date and time on your TV show calendars as soon as you can.

So, what is NBC airing instead of the next, new episode 3 of The Blacklist’s current season 8 tonight? According to the TV Guide listings, NBC is going to air a couple of Christmas specials in the 7 pm to 8 pm central standard time slot.

At 7 pm, NBC is going to air, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” NBC’s official description for it reads like this, “Boris Karloff narrates an animated tale about the lonely and heartless title character who decides to dress up as Santa and steal the Christmas decorations, gifts and feast from the people of Whoville.”

At 7:30 pm central standard time, NBC is going to air,”Minions Holiday Special.” NBC’s official description for it reads like this,”The beloved characters celebrate the season as they present a night of holiday-themed mischief and playful, family-friendly adventures, featuring their trademark brand of offbeat comedy antics.”

Then next Friday night, December 4, 2020, NBC is going to air an episode of their hit, singing, reality show “The Voice.” It’s episode 13 of its 19th season, featuring the LIVE top 17 results.

NBC’s description for it reads like this,”Four artists, one from each team, are revealed as safe by America’s votes. Each coach selects one more artist to move forward. The artist with the next highest votes from each team will compete in the wildcard instant save for the top 9’s last spot.”

After that date, you’ll have to check your local listings to see what NBC will be airing in that 7 pm to 8 pm time slot all the way until January 22, 2021. We do know that NBC has at least one repeat episode of The Blacklist to air in late December 2020.

If any of you guys find any value in this alternate line of programming from NBC, you might still want to flip on their channel during this long, Fall break.

If you do not like this alternate line of programming, you will definitely want to skip over watching NBC for the next two months during that Friday night, 7 pm to 8 pm time slot.

With all of that said, NBC did serve up a new preview clip for the next, new episode 3 of The Blacklist’s current season 8. And let me tell you, guys. It features some very intense and shocking scenes between Liz and Red!

Liz is seen telling Red, “I watched you murder my mother.” Red says, “There is an explanation.” But, Liz just isn’t having it. Oh, no, no ,no. She tells Red, “I told you what would happen if you hurt her. I’m coming for you. Nothing else matters.”

So, wow! Liz really means serious business. You guys can view the new episode 3 preview clip over on Youtube by Clicking Here.

The Blacklist season 8 is currently averaging 3.627 million LIVE viewers per episode and a 0.40 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics.

The last episode 2, which aired last Friday, November 20, 2020 brought in 3.532 million LIVE viewers and a 0.40 ratings score. I would love to see those viewership numbers get back above 4 million per episode. Other than that, season 8 is performing just like season 7 did.

Again, NBC confirmed that the next, new episode 3 of The Blacklist’s current season 8 is indeed scheduled to air on Friday night, January 22, 2021 at approximately 7 pm central standard time.

Why nit wait til January to start the season. Disappointed…

  2. If NBC wants Blacklist to survive they shouldn’t make its viewers wait 2 more months for the next 3rd episode after this long shut down. I assume that Netflix will hopefully pick up this wonderful series if NBC bails on it ?

If it was an all black cast the Nothing But Colored station would have it on every day
