The Undoing Season 1, November 29, 2020 Episode 6 Is The Finale. Season 2 Is Not Yet Confirmed
Hey, “The Undoing” fans. We are back on here to tell you guys who didn’t get the memo yet that tonight’s episode 6 of The Undoing’s current, premiere season 1 is indeed the season finale episode. That means it could very well be the last episode forever!
Currently, HBO hasn’t revealed any plans to renew it for a new season 2. So, we’re just waiting around to see if they ever do at the present moment.
Recently, the folks over at MarieClaire.com revealed that the show’s director Susanne Bier did speak to Oprah Magazine about the possibility of a new season 2. She basically said it’s possible, but that nothing is currently in the works.
She stated, “Of course you wonder what comes after this is over. We did joke about it on set. I won’t rule it out. But it’s not in the concrete works.”
With that said, Marie Claire also reported that The Undoing was definitely a ratings hit for HBO. So, they would definitely be winning in that regard. Let’s take a brief look at what the official, LIVE ratings and viewership numbers were for the Undoing season 1.
According to the Nielson LIVE ratings,The Undoing season 1 averaged 955,000 LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.11 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics.
The last episode 5, which aired last Sunday night, November 22, 2020, drew in 1.277 million LIVE viewers and a 0.14 ratings score.
The most-watched episode was indeed episode 5 with the 1.277 million LIVE viewers. The least-watched episode was actually the premiere episode 1 with 676,000 LIVE viewers.
The highest-rated episode was episode 4 with a 0.15 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 2 with a 0.07 ratings score.
The LIVE ratings and viewership numbers definitely picked up as the season went along. We’re quite sure the show drew in millions of more viewers on the streaming services, which aren’t tracked by the Nielson LIVE ratings. Still, those LIVE viewership numbers were quite good for a cable show.
