The Amazing Race December 9, 2020 Eliminated DeAngelo & Gary (Recap)

Hey, “The Amazing Race” fans. Tonight, December 9, 2020, another new episode of The Amazing Race season 32 did indeed air, and another unlucky team did get booted at the end for being too friggin slow.

Tonight’s episode kicked off with the teams learning they had fly to Manilla in the Philippines to get this leg of the race started. Once they got there, they had to travel to the Lapu Lapu Circle and find host Phil Keoghan to get further instructions.

Once they found Phil, he informed them that this leg would have them doing a sprint all over the city. There would be no Road Blocks or detours. Once they finished all the challenges, they needed to come back to the Lapu Lapu Circle to complete the leg.

Their first challenge was to hop on a van and ride around until they saw a certain traffic cop. When they found him, they needed to wave him down so he could give them their next clue. The trick is they had to do it in really heavy traffic. It proved to be pretty tough for some of them.

Next, the teams had to run a 500 meter dash in a pair of high heel shoes to get their next clue. After that, they had to go to the Arch of Goodwill at Binondo to get their next clue.

Once they got there, they had to get their clue from a person in a lion dance costume. There were a couple of these dancing lions. So, they needed to find the right one that had the clue.

Hung and Chee got lost trying to find the dancing lions. So, that wasted a lot of time for them.

Meanwhile, the other teams who completed the dancing lions challenge were instructed to go to the Manilla Central Post Office. Once they got their , they were presented a challenge called,”Hay Day.”

In the “Hay Day” challenge, they had to find vendors that had the ingredients to make feed for a horse. Then they had to feed it to the horse to get their next clue.

Once they wrapped up the “Hay Day” challenge, the teams were faced with one, final challenge. They had to identify 4 pieces of music they’ve heard during the race. Then they had to find 4 instrument cases that represented the countries they heard the songs played in. The cases had the countries on them.

Next, they had to match the cases in the correct order in which they heard the songs to get their next clue.

All the teams struggled with this one. So,it gave Hung and Chee enough time to catch up. Meanwhile , DeAngelo was looking for another hand out by asking other teams if they wanted to work together on it. They all told him no.

In fact, all the other three teams decided to help each other out and single out DeAngelo & Garry so they could advance ahead of them thus eliminating Gary & DeAngelo.

They did eventually succeed in this task. DeAngelo & Gary did catch on to what they were doing, but there was nothing they could do about it. Once the other three teams figured it out, DeAngelo & Gary decided to give up and take the 2 hour penalty.

Meanwhile, the other three teams were directed to head to the pit stop for this leg of the race. Riley & Maddison took first place. Will & James came in second place. Hung & Chee captured the all-important 3rd place.

DeAngelo & Gary did indeed finish last since they had to wait out the 2 hour penalty. Host Phil did confirm that they were eliminated.

So, the final three teams are: Riley & Madison, Will & James and Hung & Chee! They will compete for the grand prize of $1 million dollars in next week’s finale episode. Phil told them they are going back to the USA for that episode, and the challenges will take place in New Orleans.

Not watching the final episode . Was rooting for the NFL players De Angelo & Gary. Did not like the way the other teams did not help them in the last challenge
