Next, Phil told them what the first competition is. This particular comp gave the first and second place finishers the privilege of picking the two teams of six for this season.

In this competition, they had to correctly make some concrete. The comp involved them chopping blocks of concrete rocks. Then, they had to mix it and pour it until they filled up their concrete form. The first one to fill up their concrete form all the way and smooth it out, won.

Michael Eyebrows won first place and Liz won second place. So, they both got to pick the two teams of 6 for this season.

Michael was able to pick first since he won the comp. He decided to take the Savage Crew name, and he picked: Scott, Sarah, Swifty, Celi and Merryl to be on his team.

Liz took the Dirty Hands team name, and she chose: Angel, Cyril, Tara, Iraida and Patrick aka Freight Train to be on her team.

Next up, was the first team competition. Phil pointed out that the winners of this comp would win $12,000 for their team and collect a badge of honor. The team that ended up with the most badge of honors at the end of this season collected a cash bonus of $60,000 dollars.

This first team competition featured the two teams having to build the frame for a garage. They had to build 4 walls and a 10 trusses roofs to go on top of the 4 walls from a set blue prints they were given. The first team to complete it, won.

Scott took the team lead for the Savage Crew. He told them they needed to build the 4 walls first because they would be the hardest. Meanwhile, Angel took over team lead for the Dirty Hands crew. He had them build the 10 trusses first.

At one point, things weren’t looking good for the Savage Crew as they ran into trouble with the four walls. Apparently, there was a measurement issue, and they had to redo some stuff. Dirty Hands got their 10 trusses built first, but they ran into problems building their 4 walls.

Both teams ended up correcting their mistakes. However, it was the Savage Crew that would end up finishing this competition first for the win.

They won $12,000 dollars and the first badge of honor for this season. There was no individual challenge that would eliminate them from the being able to compete for the Ford F-150 grand prize in this episode. That will begin in next week’s new, second episode. And that was it, guys for this premiere episode 1.

The next, new episode 2 of Tough As Nails’ current season 2 is scheduled to air next Wednesday night, February 17, 2021 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on CBS.
