Riverdale Season 5, March 3, 2021 Episode 7 Delayed. Not Airing Tonight

Hey, “Riverdale” fans. Unfortunately, we had to jump on here ,real quick, because we’ve just learned that for some reason, The CW is not airing the next, new episode 7 of Riverdale’s current season 5 tonight, March 3, 2021.

The good news is that this particular delay is just isolated to tonight. The CW has confirmed that they do intend to air the new episode 7 next Wednesday night, March 10, 2021 in its usual 7 pm central standard time slot. So, definitely be sure to memorize that very important date and time.

We did find out what The CW is airing instead of the next, new episode 7 of Riverdale’s current season 5 tonight. According to the TV guide listings, The CW is airing a repeat episode of Riverdale. It’s the 2nd episode of this season 5 titled, “Chapter Seventy-Eight: The Preppy Murders.”

The CW’s official description for it reads like this, “Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead’s (Cole Sprouse) investigation into the auteur takes a twisted turn after receiving a call from Bret (guest star Sean Depner).

Meanwhile, Archie (KJ Apa) is forced to make an impossible decision when the person responsible for his father’s death needs his help. Elsewhere, Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Hermosa (guest star Mishel Prada) come up with a plan to force Hiram (Mark Consuelos) into early retirement, and Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) makes a business move.”

If any of you guys would like to check out that rerun episode, you might still want to flip on The CW tonight. On the other hand, if you won’t settle for anything less than the new episode 7, you will certainly want to get some other plans thrown together as quickly as possible.

Spoiler Warning: If any of you guys like reading spoiler scoops, we were able to gather up a couple for the next, new episode 7 of Riverdale’s current season 5. The CW was gracious enough to serve them up in their official episode 7 press release. So, we’re going to go over them real quick.

First thing’s first. Episode 7 is officially labeled/titled, “Chapter Eight-Three: Fire in the Sky.” It sounds like episode 7 will feature some very intense, dramatic, interesting, suspenseful and possible action scenes.

The CW’s official description for episode 7 reads like this, “Following in his Grandpa Artie’s footsteps, Archie (KJ Apa) begins to recruit Riverdale’s new volunteer fire department. Toni’s (Vanessa Morgan) attempt to lure Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) out of Thornhill and back into daily life in Riverdale leads to more tension between the two.

Elsewhere, Betty (Lili Reinhart), Alice (Mädchen Amick) and Kevin’s (Casey Cott) latest investigation leads them into conflict with Hiram (Mark Consuelos). Finally, as Veronica (Camila Mendes) comes up with a risky plan to support Riverdale’s local businesses, Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and Tabitha (Erinn Westbrook) begin to unravel an old mystery surrounding some strange sightings in the town.”

Episode 7 will also feature Charles Melton as character Reggie Mantle and Drew Ray Tanner as character Fangs Fogarty. Episode 7 was directed by Gabriel Correa, and it was written by Ted Sullivan.

Again, The CW confirmed that the next, new episode 7 of Riverdale’s current season 5 is scheduled to finally arrive next Wednesday night, March 10, 2021 at approximately 7 pm central standard time.

    If there is one thing I hate, is sitting down, everything ready, and Riverdale is delayed. The suspense kills.
