Magnum PI Season 3, May 7, 2021 Episode 16 Is The Finale. Season 4 Is Officially Happening
Hey, “Magnum P.I.” fans. We are back on here this Friday to tell you some good and bad news. The bad news is for all of you who have not yet gotten the memo. Tonight’s episode 16 of Magnum PI’s current season 3 is indeed the finale episode. It got a much shorter season due to the terrible pandemic.
The good news resides in this next statement, which is we hope that the next season 4 is much longer. That’s right, guys. There will be a next, new season 4 as CBS did ,in fact, renew Magnum PI for a brand new season!
As I mentioned in the previous statement, we do hope that the new season 4 will be longer than 16 episodes. Currently, we don’t know if their filming schedule will get fully back to normal to shoot a full season of 22 episodes or more. We’ll have to wait around for a couple more months to find out that information.
According to the folks over at TV Line,CBS announced this wonderful, Magnum PI season 4, renewal news way back in the middle of April 2021. So, it got sort of an early renewal.
CBS also renewed SWAT, NCIS, Blue Bloods and Bull for new seasons at that time. So, if you’re a fan of any of those shows, this is extra good news for you.
The current season 3 of Magnum PI averaged 5.632 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.53 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The last episode 15, which aired last Friday night, April 30, 2021, drew in 5.346 million LIVE viewers and a 0.47 ratings score.
The most-watched, season 3 episode was episode 9 with 5.968 million LIVE viewers. The least-watched episode was episode 15 with the 5.346 million LIVE viewers. The highest rated episode was episodes 4 and 6. They tied with a 0.60 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 15 with a 0.47 ratings score. Those numbers were obviously good enough for CBS to renew it.
Recently, the Dr. Noelani Cunha actress Kimee Balmilero hit up her official Twitter account to congratulate the Magnum PI cast on their new season 4 renewal writing, “Congrats to the entire Magnum PI Fam Jam on the Season 4 renewal!” You guys can view that tweet over on Twitter by Clicking Here.
Currently, we don’t have an official premiere date for the new season 4, but we’re guessing it will happen around September or October of 2021. We’ll let you guys know when we get an official date from CBS.
