Dancing With The Stars October 4, 2021 Eliminated Christine Chiu & Pasha (Recap)

Hey, “Dancing With The Stars” fans. Tonight, October 4, 2021, another LIVE results/performances episode did indeed air, and another unlucky couple was sent packing from the dance floor. The judges: Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba were on the set to give their usual critiques and scores.

It was revealed that judge Derek Hough was not there because he was exposed to the COVID virus and decided to isolate even though he tested negative for it. They also announced that Cody Rigsby tested positive for Covid along with is dance pro partner Cheryl Burke. So now, they’re both stuck at home. However, they did still perform from their homes. Tonight was also a Britney Spears theme night. So, all the couples danced to Britney spears songs.

Tonight’s performances kicked off with Amanda Kloots and Alan Bersten doing the Cha Cha to “Circus” by Britney Spears.

Afterwards, Len said, “I liked how you coped with Latin after a couple of weeks of ballroom, but while your performance was clean and clear, none of it really excited me.”

Bruno said, “You ooze star quality, and your legs are a weapon to be reckoned with. You need to move your hips further through your body.” Carrie Ann Inaba said, “I love that it was clean and sharp, but their was a little problem with your posture at times.”

Carrie Ann gave Amanda and Alan an 8 score, Len an 8, Bruno an 8 for a total of 24 points.

Iman Shumpert and Daniella Karagach danced a Tango to “Piece of Me” by Britney Spears. Afterwards, Bruno said, “It was a nice, solid piece of tango, and I appreciated how you worked on keeping your frame, but you need to be smoother.”

Carrie Ann said, “I thought you toned down your steps impressively to match Daniella, but you hunched when you were out of hold.” Len said, “I’m never sure what I’ll get from you, but tonight, your feet weren’t always fantastic.”

Carrie Ann gave Iman and Daniella a 7, Len a 6, Bruno a 6 for a total of 19 points.

Christine Chiu and Pasha Pashkov served up a Paso Doble routine to “Stronger” by Britney Spears. Afterwards, Carrie Ann said, “I’m glad we saved you to give you this moment. You have great shaping and control.

Len said, “I was shocked you were in the bottom two, and you danced a really clean, crisp, plenty of energy paso doble.” Bruno said, “You went for it like a real goer.”

Carrie Ann gave Christine and Pasha a 7, Len a 7, Bruno a 7 for a total of 21 points.

JoJo Siwa and Jenna Johnson delivered an Argentine Tango dance to “Hit Me Baby One More Time” by Britney Spears. Afterwards, Len said, “It was a well-crafted routine with good lifts, but it was a little too staccato ,and it didn’t have quite enough flow.”

Bruno said, “You know how to hit it. You go straight for the bullseye every time, and you know how to work the camera. However, you missed a step in the middle.” Carrie Ann said, “Yeah, I think you might have missed a step, but you’re like liquid sunshine, and you lead with clarity and intentions.”

Carrie Ann gave JoJo and Jenna an 8, Len an 8, Bruno an 8 for a total of 24 points.

Kenya Moore and Brandon Anderson danced a Tango number to “Womanizer” by Britney Spears. Afterwards, Bruno said,”You’re back on track, and you glided across the floor beautifully with poise and elegance.”

Carrie Ann said, “You are giving supermodel vibes, refined and elegant, but you had a little wobble in there.” Len said, “Your hold was a little bit loose at times, and you needed more body contact, but you captured the flavor of the dance.”

Carrie Ann gave Kenya and Brandon a 7, Len a 7, Bruno a 7 for a total of 21 points.

Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess rocked a Tango dance to “Till the World Ends” by Britney Spears. Afterwards, Carrie Ann said, “You have finally arrived in the ballroom. I appreciated the hold and body contact, but you need to send more energy to the ground.”

Len said, “Your frame was good despite one shoulder. Your footwork was poor, but it was a spirited effort.” Bruno said, “Your footwork needs a lot of work.”

Carrie Ann gave Brian and Sharna a 7, Len a 6, Bruno a 6 for a total of 19 points.

Melora Hardin and Artem Chigvintsev delivered a Cha Cha performance to “Crazy” by Britney Spears. Afterwards, Len said, “I loved the hip action and Artem’s content-filled choreography.” Bruno said, “Nothing will contain my excitement! I’m seeing you for the first time.”

Carrie Ann said, “You’re special because you make it look easy and natural without looking tense.”

Carrie Ann gave Melora and Artem an 8, Len a 7, Bruno an 8 for a total of 23 points.

Melanie C and Gleb Savchenko served up a Tango dance to “Toxic” by Britney Spears. Afterwards, Bruno said, “You were flying high on that tango.”

Carrie Ann said, “It was filled with content, and you had great lines and legs, but it felt a little forced and tense.” Len said, “I liked it better at the end because it took a while to get cracking, but it went in and out of hold too many times.”

Carrie Ann gave Melanie C and Gleb a 7, Len a 7, Bruno an 8 for a total of 22 points.

Jimmie Allen and Emma Slater danced a Salsa routine to “Outrageous” by Britney Spears. Afterwards, Carrie Ann said, “You had a wonky fist, and the lifts were a little rocky.”

Len said, “I liked the easy action and rhythm, but none of the lifts worked for me.” Bruno said, “It flowed beautifully when you let loose and there were moments when the dance was spot-on.”

Carrie Ann gave Jimmie and Emma a 6, Len a 6, Bruno an 8 for a total of 20 points.

Olivia Jade and Val Chmerkovskiy performed a Tango dance to “Hold It Against Me” by Britney Spears. Afterwards, Len said, “That was a proper tango with plenty of staccato and attack. This is what I want from choreographers.”

Bruno said, “You’re transforming in front of my eyes into a beautiful dancer.” Carrie Ann said, “You are blossoming, and you gave what I think is one of the best dances of the night so far.”

Carrie Ann gave Olivia and Val an 8, Len an 8, Bruno an 8 for a total of 24 points.

Cody Rigsby and Cheryl Burke did a Jazz number to “Gimme More” by Britney Spears. They danced separately from home due to catching COVID.

After their performance, Bruno said, “I admire the commitment and perseverance, but it’s hard to judge the sync from two different camera feeds.”

Carrie Ann said, “I appreciate the effort, but it didn’t quite compare to what we’ve seen in the ballroom already so far.” Len said, “I wasn’t sure how it would work, but you were clear and tight together. Considering the circumstances, you were terrific.”

Carrie Ann gave Cody and Cheryl a 6, Len a 6, Bruno a 6 for a total of 18 points.

Suni Lee and Sasha Farber delivered a Foxtrot routine to “I’m a Slave 4 U” by Britney Spears. Afterwards, Carrie Ann said, “I appreciate you stepping out of your comfort zone, but you looked a little uncomfortable in the sensual moments.”

Len said, “It didn’t feel like the dance captured the Foxtrot. It was too steamy and not romantic enough.” Bruno said, “I don’t mind steamy, and I liked that you played with the character.”

Carrie Ann gave Suni and Sasha a 7, Len a 7, Bruno a 7 for a total of 21 points.

Matt James and Lindsay Arnold served up a Tango dance to “Scream and Shout” by Britney Spears. Afterwards, Len said, “I appreciate that it was a full-on routine, but you had problems with your footwork at one point.”

Bruno said, “I was disappointed because Matt is overdressed in the sense of wearing any clothes at all.” Carrie Ann said, “I like that you improved your refinement and posture.”

Carrie Ann gave Matt and Lindsay a 7, Len a 6, Bruno a 7 for a total of 20 points.

The last performance of the night featured The Miz and Witney Carson dancing a Salsa number to “Oops … I Did It Again” by Britney Spears.

Afterwards, Bruno said, “I believe less is more when it comes to men in clothing. You are Mike “Magic” Miz.” Carrie Ann said, “You were a little tight up top, but the lifts were great.” Len said, “I especially admired the performance from a celebrity with zero dance experience.”

Carrie Ann gave The Miz and Witney a 7, Len a 7, Bruno an 8 for a total of 22 points.

Next, host Tyra Banks revealed that all the couples were safe accept for Christine Chiu and Pasha Pashkov & Kenya Moore and Brandon Anderson. They landed in the bottom two after America’s votes were counted.

The judges were able to vote to save one of the couples. Carrie Ann and Bruno voted to save Kenya and Brandon. Len voted to save Christine and Pasha. So, by a vote of 2-1, Christine Chiu and Pasha Pashkov were eliminated tonight.
