Dancing With The Stars October 12, 2021 Eliminated Matt & Lindsay And Brian & Sharna (Recap)

Hey, “Dancing With The Stars” fans. Tonight, October 12, 2021, another LIVE performance/results show for Dancing With The Stars season 30, and two, unlucky couples did get booted as this was a double elimination episode.

The judges: Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough were on hand to give their usual critiques and scores. Disney Villains was theme of the show tonight. So, everyone dressed up as one of the Disney villains while dancing.

Tonight’s performances kicked off with Jimmie Allen and Emma Slater doing a jazz number. Peter Pan was their theme. Afterwards, Len said, “I liked the concept and the lifts, and I think your dance skills are coming along nicely.”

Derek said, “I admired the side-by-side elements of the dance.” Bruno said, “You got me hooked. That was a bada#% jazz routine.” I think it’s your best performance to date.” Carrie Ann Inaba said, “Disney suits you. That was amazing.”

Carrie Ann gave Jimmie and Emma a 9 score, Len an 8, Derek a 9, Bruno a 9 for a total of 35 points.

Cody Rigsby and Cheryl Burke danced a Viennese Waltz. Beauty And The Beast was their theme. Afterwards,Derek said, “You had the flair and gusto, but you need to work on the technical stuff like your frame and balance.”

Bruno said, “I was happy to see you in a full production. However, you need some polishing. Carrie Ann said, “I liked that your moves were all finished, bold, and polished, despite a few stumbles.” Len said, “It was well done, and I especially liked the fleckle.”

Carrie Ann gave Cody an 8, Len a 7, Derek an 8, Bruno an 8 for a total of 31 points.

Melanie C and Gleb Savchenko served up a Viennese Waltz routine. Maleficent was their theme. Afterwards,Bruno said, “It was magnificent and haunting with plenty of drama.”

Carrie Ann said, “It was Melanie’s best dance by far, sensual and powerful.” Len said, “I liked the mood and atmosphere, but I wanted to see more Viennese waltz in the choreography.” Derek said, ” You handled the Maleficent horns well. It was beautiful and well done.”

Carrie Ann gave Melanie and Gleb a 9, Len an 8, Derek a 9, Bruno a 9 for a total of 35 points.

JoJo Siwa and Jenna Johnson delivered a Paso Doble dance. Descendants 2 was their theme. Afterwards, Carrie Ann said, “I didn’t think it was your best dance. It was a little hectic. You went back to old, bad habits a little bit.”

Len said, “I loved that the dance had control, and you did a fantastic job handling two dances this week on opposite ends of the dance spectrum.” Derek said, “I thought it had the power and oomph that I love to see in the paso doble.” Bruno said, “It was a paso doble like no other.”

Carrie Ann gave JoJo and Jenna an 8, Len a 9, Derek a 9, Bruno a 9 for a total of 35 points.

Kenya Moore and Brandon Armstrong performed a Viennese Waltz. Snow White was their theme. Afterwards, Len said, “I liked the bars you did in the hold. It was a lovely dance.”

Derek said, “I think you’re fierce ,and you need to own that more in the competition.” Bruno said, “No mirror can do justice to your regal beauty.” Carrie Ann said, “I’m impressed with how centered you were even when you came closer to losing your balance, but I have to dock a point for a lift.”

Carrie Ann gave Kenya and Brandon a 7, Len a 7, Derek an 8, Bruno an 8 for a total of 30 points.

Iman Shumpert and Daniella Karagach danced an Argentine Tango. Aladdin was their theme. Afterwards, Derek said, “I thought the opening and ending lifts were iconic. That was a moment.”

Bruno said, “I thought it was a feat of magical strength.” Carrie Ann said, “I’m blown away. It’s one of the most magical performances I’ve seen on the show despite one flexed foot.” Len said, “It was your best dance.”

Carrie Ann gave Iman and Daniella a 9, Len a 7, Derek a 9, Bruno an 8 for a total of 33 points.

Melora Hardin and Artem Chigvintsev delivered a Jazz number. “Tangled” was their theme. Afterwards, Bruno said, “I thought it was a delicious, wicked and musical comedy.”

Carrie Ann said, “It was so theatrical, and it was amazing, but a little safe.” Len said, “It had wit and charm, and it was truly delightful.” Derek said,”It was a clinic in theatrical storytelling.”

Carrie Ann gave it a 9, Len a 10, Derek a 9, Bruno a 9 for a total of 37 points.

The Miz and Witney Carson danced an Argentine Tango. The Lion King was their theme. Afterwards, Carrie said, “The men are on fire tonight, and you were incredible.” I loved that you channeled your energy into focus and intimacy.”

Len said, “I loved the tango moments, the in-character lifts, and the theatrical performance.” Derek said, “Your commitment to character deserves a 10, but it needs an extra little punch to put it over the edge.” Bruno said, “There was so much content, but a couple of stumbles.”

Carrie Ann gave The Miz and Witney a 9, Len an 8, Derek a 9, Bruno an 8 for a total of 34 points.

Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess did a Paso Doble dance. Pirates of the Caribbean was their theme. Afterwards, Len said, “I liked the aggression you showed, but you need to lift your diaphragm and use your free arm better.”

Derek said, “I loved the dance fight choreography.” Bruno said, “You were spunky ,and you had firepower, but you need to control your free arm. You made a couple of mistakes.” Carrie Ann said, “It was a valiant effort.”

Carrie Ann gave Brian and Sharna a 7, Len a 6, Derek a 7, Bruno a 7 for a total of 27 points.

Matt James and Lindsay Arnold performed a Paso Doble routine. Jungle Book was their theme. Afterwards, Derek said, “I could see you were making the effort with your hips, but you need to take larger steps when doing a drag.”

Bruno said, “You need to refine it, but you’re on the right track.” Carrie Ann said, “This is the first time you gave it your all instead of holding back, but you need to watch the steps you take since you’re so tall.” Len said, “I see some promise, but you’re capable of so much more.”

Carrie Ann gave Matt and Lindsay an 8, Len a 7, Derek an 8, Bruno an 8 for a total of 31 points.

Olivia Jade and Val Chmerkovskiy did a jazz routine. “Coco” was their theme. Afterwards, Bruno said, “You captured the spirit of the movie, and you can act as well as dance.”

Carrie Ann said, “I was impressed with the acting, but it felt a little safe.” Len said, “I could have danced for joy with this joyous performance.” Derek said, “You’re a natural born performer.”

Carrie Ann gave Olivia and Val an 8, Len a 9, Derek a 9, Bruno a 9 for a total of 35 points.

Suni Lee and Sasha Farber danced a Viennese Waltz. Hocus Pocus was their theme. Afterwards, Carrie Ann said, “I can feel the energy and articulation in your movements, and your performance has matched the technique.”

Len said, “You looked so good in the hold. I want to see more of that in future ballroom dances.” Derek said, “You have beautiful arms, and I agree with Carrie Ann that your performance level is going up too.” Bruno said, “Whatever the spell is, keep it up. It’s working.”

Carrie Ann gave Suni and Sasha a 9, Len an 8, Derek a 9, Bruno a 9 for a total of 35 points.

Amanda Kloots and Alan Bersten danced a Paso Doble for the last performance of the night. Their theme was “Cruella.” Afterwards, Len said, “I liked the feeling of menace, and the interpretation from Alan.”

Derek said, “You played the part to perfection, but you’re being a little finnicky about a few of the details in the footwork.” Bruno said, “It was devilishly stylish despite a slight misstep.” Carrie Ann said, “It was powerful, masterful and divine.”

Carrie Ann gave Amanda and Alan a 9, Len a 9, Derek a 9, Bruno a 9 for a total of 36 points.

After all of that, host Tyra Banks revealed that Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess got the lowest votes this week after America’s vote was tallied. So, they were immediately eliminated first.

That left Matt James & Lindsay Arnold and Kenya Moore & Brandon Armstrong as the bottom two couples after Brian and Sharna.

The judges could vote to save one of them. Bruno chose to save Matt & Lindsay. Derek voted to save Kenya & Brandon. Carrie Ann voted to save Matt & Lindsay.

Since the other judges were split, they made Len’s vote the deciding vote, and he chose to save Kenya & Brandon. So, Matt James & Lindsay Arnold and Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess were the two unlucky couples that got eliminated in tonight’s October 12, 2021, LIVE, results/performances episode.
