The folks over Deadline.com apparently got to speak to Peter Traugott who is the president of Keshet Studios, which produces La Brea.

He told them that they got a lot of marketing support from NBC, which he is very pleased about because they had gotten delayed during the pandemic. They were right in the middle of filming the pilot episode when the pandemic hit last year.

Peter went on to tell them, “The only thing worse than a network not liking your show is that they love it so much that there’s that pressure. We have no control with the ratings. NBC and Universal have been so supportive because La Brea has the potential to draw in audiences, and if they turn up, the pressure is on us to keep bringing them back.”

It appears that this first season 1 of La Brea delivered some pretty strong ratings and LIVE viewership numbers. It averaged 4.951 million LIVE viewers per episode and a 0.58 ratings score. The most recent episode 9, which aired last Tuesday night, November 23, 2021, drew in 4.332 million LIVE viewers and a 0.46 ratings score.

The most-viewed episode was the premiere episode 1 with 6.373 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 6 with 4.034 million LIVE viewers.

The highest-rated episode was episode 1 with a 0.77 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 6 with a 0.43 ratings score. According to Deadline.com, La Brea was the number 3 show in NBC’s primetime line up. So, it definitely did very well, hence the season 2 renewal. So, congrats to everyone who was hoping for a new season 2.

Alright guys. That’s all we’ve got for this latest “La Brea” TV show report, but definitely stay tuned for more.
