General Hospital May 25, 2022 Episode Delayed, Preempted. It Didn’t Air
Hey, “General Hospital” fans. If you tuned into ABC earlier ,today, to check out the latest, General Hospital episode, we’re quite sure most of you were very disappointed to see that it was not on. Instead ABC chose to delay/preempt it with a news special about the horrible elementary school shooting that happened in Texas. Apparently, Governor Abbot had a big speech to deliver about it. So, actually all the major networks CBS, NBC and ABC gave it LIVE coverage.
So, we tracked down a new, official message from the General Hospital, official Twitter page to see when they’re going to air today’s preempted episode. In their tweet, they let us know that today’s preempted episode is scheduled to air tomorrow instead. They wrote, “Due to ongoing breaking news coverage, today’s scheduled episode of General Hospital will air tomorrow.” You guys can view that post on General Hospital’s official Twitter account by Clicking Here.
A couple of angry fans replied to General Hospital’s tweet to express their anger over the preemption. @Rowaenthe tweeted, “I’m tired of deferring regular, normal things in life — even something like an hourlong TV show that gives me some sort of escape — and ceding them over to people who continue to destroy it.” Twitter Link.
Lisa @lisamarieLML wrote, “Oh for god sake just put it online & leave it at that, why the preemptions.” Twitter Link.
Spark.E @Sparksz_gh tweeted,”Just put it on Hulu and don’t preempt it tomorrow. Good grief do we need to be a day behind again?” Twitter Link.
Ashley Jones @MissAshleyJ1999 tweeted,”Y’all seriously need to put it on Hulu! Come on guys do like Days does with Peacock! Its not that hard!” Twitter Link.
Again, ABC is currently scheduled to resume airing new episodes of General Hospital tomorrow afternoon ,May 26, 2022 at approximately 1 pm central standard time.

Why is it that every bit of “breaking news” MUST be always aired between 1& 2 pm- can’t it wait for inclusion with the regular 5 :00 news or be pushed forward to say 11 am….
I mean EVERY time! it’s GH that gets bumped – & not everyone subscribes to Hulu ya’ll & ABC. Com isn’t a solution either imo.
Yea, I understand something’s are more important that a tv series, yadda, , yadda, yadda – but …..
