New The Blacklist Season 10 Is Losing Two Major Characters
Hey, “The Blacklist” fans. We are back in your faces with some more very important news about your favorite show and its new season 10. It turns out that the new season 10 is going to be missing two important characters when it starts back during the 2022/2023 season.
According to the folks over at Deadline.com , The Blacklist will be missing character Aram Mojtabi played by actor Amir Arison and character Alina Park played by actress Laura Sohn. Amir is leaving the show to make his Broadway debut in a starring role for a production called, “Amir in The Kite Runner.”
They reported that Laura is leaving the show to pursue other projects. The door is actually still open for Amir Arison to return to The Blacklist as a guest character in the new season 10. Amir did give the Deadline.com people a statement about his Blacklist exit. Apparently, it’s been a childhood dream for him to appear in this particular Broadway production, and he just couldn’t pass it up.
He stated, “I have been so honored to play Aram Mojtabai for 9 years on The Blacklist. It is not lost on me how lucky I am to have been able to work and evolve with a role for 9 years with this extraordinary cast, crew, writers and producers. I could not pass up the opportunity, however, to fulfill a childhood dream of being on Broadway playing ‘Amir’ in The Kite Runner with a stage adaptation that is both breathtaking and timely.
The producers, studio and network have been so supportive of my decision, and Aram remains alive with the potential for a possible return at some point. Story-wise, it feels so organic with the events of this past season to take this step, and I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome.”
The Blacklist executive producer John Eisendrath had some very nice words to say about Amir upon his exit of the show. He stated, “Amir has been a huge part of The Blacklist family. He’s a great actor and an even better person. We wish him well and hope he can return to reprise the role for some very special episodes next year.”
Currently, there is no word on if Laura Sohn’s Alina Park character could possibly come back in the future. However, we assume that she could since her character was not killed off.
