Survivor October 26, 2022 Voted Off Elie Scott (Recap)

Hey, “Survivor” fans. Tonight, October 26, 2022, another new episode of Survivor’s current season 43 did indeed air, and we saw another unlucky contestant get voted off the island after a major shift took place.

Tonight’s episode kicked off with the Coco tribe getting a message that implied that the long-awaited merge might be coming up, and they got excited about it. However, Karla was skeptical, telling the private cams that there could be a twist.

All the tribes eventually started gathering together in one location in anticipation of the merge. At one point, Elie became aware that Cody has an idol because Noelle had mentioned to her that Cody collected beads from them, and that was one of the beware advantage challenges to get an idol. Elie ran back and told Jeanine that Cody has an idol.

After all of that, host Jeff Probst showed up to tell them that there is indeed a twist before the merge. They were split up into two teams of 6 to compete in an immunity challenge. The team who won this challenge made it to the merge.

The team that lost this challenge had to go to a tribal council meeting, and whoever survived it, made it to the merge. Regardless of which team won, all the contestants did vote at the merge, except for the ones who lost their vote due to risking it in previous episodes.

They drew to see which team they would be on. Anyone who drew a red rock was on the red team, and blue rocks were on the blue team.

Elie, James, Sami, Owen, Cassidy and Cody ended up on the red team. Karla, Gabler, Ryan, Jeanine and Jesse drew blue rocks. So, they were on the blue team. Noelle drew the grey rock so she couldn’t compete. She had to pick a team to join. If the team she picked won, she was safe. If not, she went to tribal council with them. Noelle decided to join the blue team.

During the immunity challenge, the teams had to collect 20 sand bags. Then, collect crates and put them on a sled, build a staircase with the crates to untie some keys. From there, they had to climb up a ramp, unlock puzzle pieces to solve a Survivor word phrase puzzle for the win.

When it was all said and done, the blue team came back from behind to win the challenge. They earned immunity and a place in the merge. They also got to eat a big meal.

The unfortunate red team of Elie, James, Sami, Owen, Cassidy and Cody had to head to tribal council and survive it to move on to the merge.

Elie started campaigning to get Cody out. She also brought up Cassidy’s name as a possible target. Cassidy campaigned to Elie to get Cody out. Elie acted like she agreed with that plan. Elie told James she wants Cody out. James told the private cams, “I’m not with Elie. I don’t trust her.”

At one point, we got footage of the winning blue team of: Noelle, Karla, Mike Gabler, Ryan, Jeanine and Jesse eating their meal. Ryan tried to pitch that they should become an alliance since they won. Jeanine told the private cams that she wasn’t down with Ryan’s pitch because she already has an alliance she’s working with.

Gabler told the blue team that he wants Elie out for going through his bag. Jeanine told the private cams, “I can’t believe he would say that about Elie, especially when he knows that it’ll get back to her through me.”

Later, Jeanine told Elie about Gabler pitching her name out as a target. Then, Elie went to confront Gabler about the bag search accusations he made against her. She denied it, but Gabler said,”It was either you are Jeanine who did it.”

After Elie couldn’t get anywhere with Gabler, she ran to Sami to confront him for telling Gabler that she and Jeanine went through his bag. Sami told the private cams that he was upset Gabler blew up their game saying, “Now, Elie is suspicious of me, and she has the skill to get me out. Elie has to go tonight.”

Gabler confronted Jeanine about searching through his bag. Jeanine resorted to just trying to pitch to keep their Baka tribe strong and just vote together to get out James. Gabler told the private cams,”I’m not buying Jeanine’s pitch. I’m voting out Elie.”

Meanwhile, James campaigned to Jesse to get Elie out. Jesse told the private cams that Elie needs to go. So, he campaigned to a couple of guys that they need to break up Elie and Jeanine’s duo alliance. The guys he was talking with seemed to agree with him in that moment. Elie said she was really nervous heading into the tribal council meeting because she knew Gabler did some damage by pitching her name as a target.

At the tribal council meeting, they just did some general game talk about knowing who to trust and so on and so forth. At one point, Elie revealed that she felt nervous about the votes.

When the votes were finally revealed, James got 2 votes, Owen 1 vote, Cassidy 1 vote and Elie got a whopping 5 votes! So, with the 5 votes, Elie did indeed get voted off the island. She said, “Dang, ya’ll. See what trusting Gabler will get you.” Gabler said, “Right back at you.”

Elie told the private cams, “They got me. I think it was a good move for them. I still had a lot of game to play. I enjoyed playing Survivor. I had the time of my life.”

Glad Elie was voted off. Are the Idols and No Vote still usable after the merge.
