General Hospital January 2, 2023 Episode Delayed, Preempted. Not Airing
Hey, “General Hospital” fans. Unfortunately, we have some terrible news to drop on you in this article. We’ve just learned that ABC is not going to air a new episode of General Hospital on Monday afternoon, January 2, 2023. That’s right, guys. There will be no new episode of General Hospital tomorrow.
Now that we’ve gotten that very bad news out of the way, we do have some good news for you. You guys can expect to see new episodes of General Hospital resume this Tuesday afternoon, January 3, 2023 in their usual, 1 pm central standard time slot. So, certainly be sure to make a strong note of that very important date and time.
We did find out why ABC isn’t airing a new episode of General Hospital tomorrow, January 2, 2023. According to the TV guide listings, ABC has decided to use General Hospital’s 1 pm central time slot to provide LIVE coverage of the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl, College Football game. It’s going to feature the LSU Tigers versus the Purdue Boilermakers.
ABC’s official description for their LIVE coverage of this Cheez-It Citrus Bowl, College football game reads like this, “Cheez-It Citrus Bowl: LSU vs. Purdue LIVE. Purdue plays No. 17 LSU in the Citrus Bowl. Both clubs lost in their respective conference title games. The Tigers seek their first postseason victory since the 2020 national championship. The Boilermakers are 2-1 in playoff games under Jeff Brohm.”
If any of you guys happen to enjoy watching college football games, you might still want to flip the channel to ABC ,tomorrow, during that time. If you do not like watching college football games, which we suspect most of you don’t, and you only want to see new General Hospital episodes, you will certainly want to skip tuning into ABC tomorrow afternoon and just check back in on Tuesday afternoon.
Spoiler Warning: For those of you who are interested, we did track down an official teaser description for the next, new, January 3, 2023 episode of General Hospital via ABC’s official synopsis of it. It reads like this, “The Hook attacks again. Nikolas confides in Liz. Spencer is stunned. Dante opens up to Sam. Carly and Drew celebrate.”
Again, it has been confirmed that ABC will air the next, new episode of General Hospital this Tuesday afternoon, January 3, 2023 at approximately 1 pm central standard time.
