Big Sky Season 3 January 18, 2023 Episode 13 Is The Finale. Season 4 Not Yet Confirmed

Hey, “Big Sky” fans. We hope you guys totally enjoyed and savored every friggin minute of tonight’s episode 13, especially since it was indeed the very last episode of this current season 3. That’s right, guys. Episode 13 was the current season 3 finale episode. Apparently, ABC ordered a lot less episodes of Big Sky this year. The last season 2 got an 18-episode order from ABC.

Actually, I’ve noticed that the networks are ordering a lot less of certain shows this season. I don’t know if that’s a performance issue or if times are just really that hard economically. Whatever the case, some of these shows have been getting huge cutbacks in the amount episodes ordered from these networks this year.

Unfortunately, ABC has yet to announce if they’re giving Big Sky a new season 4 renewal. So, we can’t currently tell you if you’ll ever see another new episode of Big Sky ever again. That’s right, guys. Tonight’s episode 13 could very well have been the last episode of Big Sky forever if ABC decides to cancel it. We’ll have to wait and see.

However, while we’re waiting, we can break down the numbers that this recent season 3 put up for ABC and deliver an educated guess about Big Sky’s future. So, let’s go ahead and do that.

First off, Big Sky season 3 averaged 2.275 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.25 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 12, which aired last Wednesday night, January 11, 2023, drew in 2.226 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.21 ratings score.

The most-viewed episode was episode 6 with 2.590 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 2 with 1.946 million LIVE viewers. The highest-rated episode was episode 6 with a 0.31 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 2 with a 0.19 ratings score.

Those numbers are slightly worse than what season 2 averaged. It averaged 2.590 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.30 ratings score. Those numbers were a result of 18 episodes. Season 3 only had 13 episodes. Judging by all of those factors, it seems that this season 3 performed about equally as well as season 2.

Unless, ABC has some new shows they think could do better in the Big Sky time slot, it seems likely that they could renew it. However, those numbers aren’t that strong for a major network like ABC. So, we wouldn’t be surprised if ABC decided to go ahead and cancel it.

It’ll also depend on how much ABC has to fork over to purchase the Big Sky episodes. The best thing I can tell you is to cross your fingers because it definitely seems like this season 4 renewal situation with Big Sky could be a very close call.

Alright, guys. That’s all we’ve got for this latest, “Big Sky” TV show report, but definitely stay tuned for more.
