New 20/20 March 10, 2023 Episode Preview Revealed
Hey, “20/20” fans. We’ve got some terrific news for you in this article because we’ve just learned that the ABC people will be serving up another new episode of your favorite news show 20/20 tonight, March 10, 2023. That’s right, guys. Tonight’s new episode will be the 23rd installment of 20/20’s current season 45, and we’ve got a preview of it for you guys.
The people over at ABC gave us an official press release for tonight’s new episode. So, we will certainly run it by you as it contains an official description for it. Let’s get into it.
In tonight’s brand new, March 10, 2023 episode, the 20/20 team is going to take a deep look at a story about a man named Chris Johnson. He woke up to find his fiancee dead, and a shocking confession ended up changing everything!
Chris Johnson and his fiancee Andrea Cincotta were a picture-perfect couple. However,back in 1998, that all changed for the absolute worse when John found Andrea dead in a closet in their shared apartment! The police initially thought Chris was the killer, but some details failed to add up for them and caused them to redirect their investigation.
Chris eventually had to go on trial for hiring the man who confessed to killing Andrea and was found not guilty. The 20/20 team is going to do a report on all the twists and turns that went down during the investigation. They’re going to do interviews with Chris’ wife, Chris’ friends, other family members, the defense attorneys, a police interrogation expert for the defense and a journalist named Tom Jackson who did news coverage on the trial.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s new, March 10, 2023 episode reads like this, “By all accounts, Chris Johnson and Andrea Cincotta were the picture-perfect image of an engaged couple. But everything changed one tragic night in August 1998, when Johnson found his fiancée lifeless in a closet in their shared apartment. Police peg Johnson as the killer after he confesses during interrogations that spanned 28 hours over three days. But when the details fail to add up, they are left asking: Who really killed Andrea Cincotta?
A new “20/20” reports on the twists and turns in the investigation; an exclusive interview with Johnson, who discusses his dealings with the police; what it was like to eventually stand trial for allegedly hiring the man who confessed to killing Cincotta; and how he has navigated a falling out with Kevin, Andrea’s son from a previous marriage, who still holds him responsible ? even after a jury found Johnson not guilty.
The two-hour program also features an exclusive interview with Johnson’s wife, Ginnie Grevett, who walks through how the trial has impacted their lives. In addition, “20/20” has interviews with friends and family of Johnson; Frank Salvato and Libbey Van Pelt, the attorneys who led the defense; James Trainum, a police interrogation expert who testified for the defense; and journalist Tom Jackman, who covered the trial for the Washington Post.”
ABC’s press release confirmed that tonight’s March 10, 2023, 20/20 episode is brand new, and it will be airing in the 8 pm central standard time slot.
