The Conners Season 5 May 3, 2023 Episode 22 Is The Finale. Season 6 Not Yet Confirmed
Hey, “The Conners” fans. We hope you guys totally enjoyed tonight’s episode 22, especially since it marked the end of The Conners’ current season 5. Yep, that’s right, guys. Episode 22 was indeed the season 5 finale episode. That means you guys might not ever see another new episode of The Conners ever again.
Yep, unfortunately, we cannot currently tell you if a new season 6 is happening because ABC hasn’t made an official announcement for it yet. However, we are hearing from various sources that the talks for a new season 6 do currently look quite promising.
We’re also hearing that The Conners is not actually owned by ABC. So, it’s always a long renewal process for it because it’s more expensive for ABC. Contracts have to be renegotiated every year and so on and so forth. Despite all that, ABC is still trying to pick it up for a new season 6 because The Conners is one of their best performing shows.
According to the LIVE Nielsen ratings, The Conners season 5 averaged 3.767 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.50 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 21,which aired last Wednesday night, April 26, 2023, managed to draw in 3.237 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.40 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was episode 13 with 4.210 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 21 with 3.237 million LIVE viewers. The highest-rated episode was episode 9 with a 0.61 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 16 with a 0.39 ratings score.
When you attach all the viewership numbers from the streaming platforms, that number increases to 5 million viewers per episode along with an average 0.70 ratings score. The Conners ranks number 1 for ABC in total audience numbers, and number 2 behind Abbott Elementary for the demographics numbers.
Again, The Conners is not yet confirmed for a brand new season 6, but we’re hearing that it’s basically a done deal as soon as ABC gets all the negotiations and paperwork wrapped up.
