We posted a few snippets from some of the critics (below). The movie stars: Aaron Paul, Imogen Poots, Dominic Cooper, Ramon Rodriguez, Rami Malek, Harrison Gilbertson, Scott ‘Kid Cudi’ Mescudi, Michael Keaton, and Dakota Johnson.

Bill Zwecker at the Chicago Sun-Times, gave it a 63 score, stating, “The best parts of Need for Speed are the actual racing and chasing sequences — a true thrill ride for the audience as the story unfolds.” Michael Phillips at the Chicago Tribune, gave it another 63. He stated: “When the actors are in cars, the movie’s fun. When they get out to argue, or seethe, it’s uh-oh time. Happily, director Scott Waugh comes out of the stunt world himself, and there’s a refreshing emphasis on actual, theoretically dangerous stunt driving over digital absurdities.” Read more »

son of god movie poster image

New Son Of God movie delivered a mediocre version of Jesus’ story & more. 20th Century Fox released their new drama flick, “Son Of God,” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and thought it was pretty mediocre at best. I actually thought the 2000 TV version ,named “Jesus,” delivered a much better version of the Jesus story. This one stars: Diogo Morgado, Greg Hicks, Adrian Schiller, Darwin Shaw, Sebastian Knapp, Joe Wredden, Simon Kunz, Paul Marc Davis, Matthew Gravelle, Amber Rose Revah, and Roma Downey.

Basically, this movie was just another rehashed telling of the story of Jesus the Christ, and it really came off that way. It showed his humble birth and all of his most popular miracles he performed like healing the crippled man, finding all the fish in the water, raising Lazarus from the dead ,and more. We also saw the drama he incurred with Pharisees, Pontius Pilate, which ultimately lead to his very violent and cruel crucifixion on the cross. They did get very graphic with that part ,so they didn’t lag on that. Read more »
