New Lucy Movie Received Mixed Reviews From Major Movie Critics

Universal Pictures released their new action/thriller flick, “Lucy,” into theaters yesterday, July 24th. And all the top movie critics have served up their reviews. It turns out that everything was pretty mixed with an overall 59 score out of a possible 100 across 34 reviews over at the metacrtic.com site. The film stars: Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman. We’ve posted blurbs from a couple of the critics,below.

Joe Morgenstern from the Wall Street Journal, gave it a nice 90 score, saying: “It’s gleefully bold, visually adventurous, often funny, strikingly concise — the whole heart-pounding tale is over in 90 minutes — and 100% entertaining.”

Claudia Puig from USA Today, gave it a 75 score. She stated: “Scarlett Johansson is ideally cast as a rapidly evolving kick-ass hero in Lucy, a stylish action thriller that is equal parts dazzling and ludicrous.” Read more »

New Believe Season 2 Never Happening,NBC Canceled It For Eternity

Hey, “Believe” peeps. We’re sorry to have to inform you guys that the party is over for your favorite show as NBC decided to flush it down the TV toilet way back in early May. Heck, we were lucky that they even let the final episodes air. This business is brutal to say the least.

In addition to that, some other shows got the bad news too. They were: Revolution, their rookie sitcom ,Growing Up Fisher, and freshman dramas, Crisis and Dracula. If you were a fan of any of those shows, this is definitely a tough article to swallow, but we had to just give it to you straight, no messing around. New Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 movie hired directors,filming to start in early 2014. According to new report from Deadline, the new “Pirates Of The Caribbean 5” peeps have been very busy as they’ve finally hired the directing team of Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg to come in and helm everything.

Main star, Johnny Depp and producer Jerry Bruckheimer, have signed up in agreement of their choice,and are currently doing some heavy negotiations. The deals are expected to be made rather quickly with a projected production schedule to begin either in late 2013, or the more likely scenario of early 2014,like around January or February. We’ll see.

It’s been over 2 years since part 4 hit theaters,so we’re about due for another one. Read more »

New Tron 3 movie confirmed and Garrett Hedlund to reprise lead Sam Flynn role. According to a new report from Collider, a follow up to the 2010 “Tron: Legacy” flick, “Tron 3″ is currently in the works. Also, actor Garrett Hedlund recently chatted it up with NextMovie,and revealed that he’ll be returning to reprise his lead role as character Sam Flynn. Garrett stated, ” Yeah, are we gonna break this now? Disney’s very excited. That’s about that. You know, yeah, I’m very excited, Disney’s very excited.”

Jesse Wigutow has been hired to write the script,and it will be helmed by Joseph Kosinski. Also, actress Olivia Wilde will be coming back, as the ending of Legacy ,set up a nice tease for the future of the two characters. Disney Studios head honcho ,Alan Horn, revealed that Tron 3 is a main priority for them,so we can expect to hear more news about it very soon. Read more »
