Overture Films’ new psychological, thriller, movie “Law Abiding Citizen” brought a lot of mystery and suspense,as it debuted nationwide, this weekend. It starred : Jamie Foxx, Gerard Butler, Bruce McGill, Colm Meaney, Leslie Bibb, Michael Irby, Regina Hall, and Viola Davis. I thought the movie was excellent, and that Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, both did an excellent job in this movie.

“Law Abiding Citizen” focused around the two main characters, Nick Rice (Jamie Foxx) and Clyde Shelton (Gerard Butler). Clyde’s family gets slaughtered by a guy named Clarence Darby and his accomplice. Clarence strikes a deal to walk free,by ratting out his accomplice.

Then the movie fast forwards ten years into the future. Clyde gruesomely takes out Clarence, and gets thrown in prison for it,but then something mysterious happens. Clyde is able to somehow commit more murders without leaving his prison cell,or so it would seem.

Universal Studios new comedy, “Couples Retreat” hit the theaters this weekend. It looked funny, it quacked funny, and by golly it was funny. Very, very funny. I couldn’t stop laughing during this movie.

Jason Bateman,Vince Vaughn,Faizon Love, and Jon Favreau were all very funny in this movie. The movie also starred : Malin Akerman, Kristin Davis, Kristen Bell, Kali Hawk, and Jean Reno. It really had an all-star cast.

“Couples Retreat” centered around the four couples, when Jason (Jason Bateman) and Cynthia (Kristen Bell) have marriage problems and want to go on an expensive therapeutic vacation to try and heal their relationship. They talk the other couples into go along with them because they can’t afford the trip without the group rate.

Moore’s ‘Capitalism: A Love Story’ Was Enlightening & Entertaining

Michael Moore’s new Overture Films documentary, “Capitalism : A Love Story” film made its nationwide release this weekend. I just got done watching it,and like all the other Michael Moore films I’ve watched in the past, I must say that I found a lot of his material enlightening and entertaining.

I’m not an extreme expert on the subject of this film, but I do know enough to see that, at the very least, he makes a good argument for his point of view.

In “Capitalism : A Love Story,” Michael Moore dealt with the world of Capitalism, and how it has effected our economy in a negative way. He made us aware how some airplane pilots in the country make less than $20,000 a year, which was surprising to learn.

Fox Searchlight’s new action, comedy, drama, “Whip It,” hit theaters this weekend. It featured Drew Barrymore’s first work as a director, which she also acted in. It stars : Ellen Page, Marcia Gay Harden, Kristen Wiig, Julieete Lewis, Eve, Jimmy Fallon, Daniel Stern, and Drew Barrymore.

I would say,not a bad job for Drew Barrymore. I liked the film. It had inspiration, action, drama, and at the end,it just kinda made you feel good.

The Movie focused on a girl named Bliss Cavendar (Ellen Page) who has spent her life sort of just doing what her mom tells her to do. Her life is pretty dull. She works at a small restaurant and enters pageant shows because of her mom.

‘Zombieland’ Movie Focused Mostly On The Comedy & Drama

Columbia Pictures released their new comedy / horror movie, “Zombieland” this weekend, which stars : Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin. I just got done watching it,and it was pretty funny for the most part.

Woody Harrelson was hilarious as Tallahasse who was the ultra tough zombie killing slugger. Jesse Eisenberg did a good job making up the other half of the comedic duo,as Columbus who is the sort of the awkward nerd type guy. Bill Murray also had funny cameo appearance in the film.

“Zombieland” focused around Columbus and Tallahasse and their little journey in a world that is now totally made up of zombies. Columbus starts out, alone and gives us his rule list of how to survive in “Zombieland.”

‘Fame’ Remake Brought Good Performances, But A Little Choppy

The MGM remake of the classic, drama, musical “Fame” movie hit the theaters this weekend. The movie was ok for what it was, I guess. It had some pretty good performances, and dealt with issues that kids who want to pursue a career in the entertainment industry might face,as they make their way through it.

It starred : Asher Book, Kristy Flores, Paul Iacono, Paul McGill, Naturi Naughton, Kay Panabaker, Kherington Payne, Collins Pennie, Walter Perez, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, Debbie Allen, Charles S. Dutton, Kelsey Grammer, Megan Mullally, and Bebe Neuwirth.

“Fame” centered around a group of talented kids who made it into the New York City High School of Performing Arts, and followed them for their four year term.Basically it followed the kids as they struggled to find out which avenue they wanted to pursue, and how some of them probably wouldn’t be good enough to do what they wanted to do on the professional level.

The horror,sci-fi,thriller movie from Overture Films entitled, “Pandorum” was released this weekend. It started off kind of slow, but began to pick up when it towards the middle. It was an interesting story, once the pieces of the puzzle started to come together. The movie starred, Dennis Quaid, Ben Foster, Cam Gigandet, Antje Traue, Cung Le, Eddie Rouse, Andre Hennicke, and Norman Reedus.

In “Pandorum,” two astronauts, Peyton and Bower awaken from a hyper sleep onboard their spaceship. They can’t remember anything initially, but slowly begin to regain their memories as the movie moves along.

Bower sets out to find the reactor so he can start the ship up again. However,on his journey to find the reactor,he runs into some unwelcome guests. Some of the guests become his ali,and the others are definitely his enemy,as they are monster-like creatures that feed on humans.

‘Surrogates’ Movie Delivered Lots Of Unique Action & Drama

Touchstone Pictures released their new action, thriller movie, “Surrogates” this weekend, which starred Bruce Willis as the main character, Tom Greer. The movie was pretty interesting even though it was hard to fathom the idea of living life through a robot. I mean, that’s just plain weird. I guess that’s why it was so interesting.

In a brief synopsis, “Surrogates” mainly focused around Bruce Willis’ character, Tom Greer, in a world that is completely devoid of real life human interaction. Where everyone simply lives their lives through a robot that they control.

The upsell on the robots, is that people can safely live their lives without ever leaving their homes, and can never actually be harmed since whatever happens to their robots doesn’t physically effect them. The robots look great ,but the people who control them look very crappy,as they never leave home, and just sit in a chair all day.

‘Jennifer’s Body’ Movie Was Sorta Funny,Gory With A Touch Of Sexy

20th Century Fox released its new Diablo Cody written horror comedy movie, “Jennifer’s Body” starring Megan Fox as Jennifer. Even though the movie was sort of choppy in some parts, I still found it entertaining. I think Megan Fox might of had a little bit to do with that.Ok, a lot.

“Jennifer’s Body” focused around two best friends, Jennifer Check (Megan Fox) and Needy Lesnicky (Amanda Seyfried). The film shows that they’ve been BFFs since children. Now, they’re in high school. Jennifer decides she wants to go see a small unknown band at the only bar in their little town.

After Jennifer introduces herself to the lead singer, Nikolai Wolf (Adam Brody), he gets the impression that she could be the virgin they’re looking for. They have plans to sacrifice her to Satan so that they can become successful.
