20th Century FOX released their new action/thriller flick, “Kingsman: The Secret Service,” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and I thought it was way better than I thought it would be, delivering major drama, action ,suspense, an interesting plotline, and more. It stars: Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Caine, Colin Firth and Taron Egerton.
In the new flick, During a mission in the Middle East, secret agent Harry Hart, is unable to prevent the death of one of his fellow agents. Feeling guilt, he personally delivers a bravery medal to the man’s widow and his young son, Eggsy, telling them, if they ever need help, they should call the phone number on the back of the medal and deliver a coded message.
From there, the movie fast-forwards 17 years later with little Eggsy all grown up and in his early 20s. After getting arrested for stealing a car, Eggsy, uses that phone number on the back of that medal, and is immediately bailed out of jail to the greetings of Harry. Despite much resistance from Eggsy, Harry eventually gets Eggsy to try out to be a secret agent for Kingsman with a couple of other candidates. Read more »
