‘MacGruber’ movie delivered very funny comedy with a little action. Rogue Pictures released their new action/comedy flick “MacGruber” in theaters this weekend. ‘MacGruber’ movie got semi-average reviews from top critics. Rogue Pictures released its new comedy/action flick “MacGruber” into the theaters this today, and the top movie critics in the business pretty much gave it semi-average reviews. The scores were mixed all across the bored. It got Bs,Cs,Ds, and an F,so I guess MacGruber is pretty much a matter of individual taste. It stars: Will Forte, Ryan Phillippe, Kristen Wiig, Val Kilmer, Powers Boothe, and Maya Rudolph.

Peter Travers at “Rolling Stone” gave it a B. He stated, “How the hell can you take an SNL skit that runs 90 seconds and stretch it to a 90-minute feature? Sounds excruciating. But MacGruber breaks the jinx by putting the skit in the context of a 1980s action movie and creating its own brand of explosive lunacy.” Read more »

‘Robin Hood’ movie delivered lots of drama, action & dialogue. Universal Pictures released their new version of the action/adventure/drama movie “Robin Hood” this weekend, and the storyline ran a little slow for my taste,it contained a lot of drama and action towards the end,but way too much dialogue for my personal taste. It stars: Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, William Hurt, Matthew Macfadyen, Mark Strong, Oscar Isaac, Lea Seydoux, Scott Grimes, Kevin Durand, Alan Doyle, Danny Huston, and Max von Sydow.

Robin Hood revolved around character Robin Longstride aka Robin Hood (Russell Crowe). In the beginning, he was only interested in own self-preservation from his service in King Richard’s army against the French. After King Richard’s death, Robin marched into Nottingham disguised as a knight, and returned the sword of King Richard to his father by request. Read more »

NBC finally canceled “Heroes” TV show. According to “Entertainment Weekly,” NBC finally got on the bandwagon, and did what I could see coming for years. That’s right. They’ve canceled their used-to-be mega hit sci-fi show “Heroes.” Entertainment Weekly says that “Heroes” will definitely not be back for a fifth season. It only averaged 6.5 million viewers this past season.

Their last show aired on February 8,and it only brought in 4.4 million viewers. The show was never able to get back its huge ratings from its first season when it averaged a huge 14.5 million viewers. There has been talk that NBC may let the producers air a movie, which would allow them to close out the story, but there’s no definite plans for that to happen. My guess is,it probably won’t ever happen Read more »
