New Son Of God movie delivered a mediocre version of Jesus’ story & more. 20th Century Fox released their new drama flick, “Son Of God,” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and thought it was pretty mediocre at best. I actually thought the 2000 TV version ,named “Jesus,” delivered a much better version of the Jesus story. This one stars: Diogo Morgado, Greg Hicks, Adrian Schiller, Darwin Shaw, Sebastian Knapp, Joe Wredden, Simon Kunz, Paul Marc Davis, Matthew Gravelle, Amber Rose Revah, and Roma Downey.

Basically, this movie was just another rehashed telling of the story of Jesus the Christ, and it really came off that way. It showed his humble birth and all of his most popular miracles he performed like healing the crippled man, finding all the fish in the water, raising Lazarus from the dead ,and more. We also saw the drama he incurred with Pharisees, Pontius Pilate, which ultimately lead to his very violent and cruel crucifixion on the cross. They did get very graphic with that part ,so they didn’t lag on that. Read more »

Relativity Media released their new action/thriller flick, “3 Days To Kill” into theaters this weekend, and the reviews are in from the top movie critics. The movie stars: Kevin Costner, Amber Heard, Hailee Steinfeld, and Connie Nielsen.

Richard Roeper at the Chicago Sun-Times, gave it a good 75 score, stating, ” Without Costner’s movie star equity, this thing could have fallen apart in the first 30 minutes. He keeps us involved, even as we’re thinking: Wait, WHAT just happened?” Frank Scheck at the The Hollywood Reporter, gave it a 60 score. He said: “It’s all absurd in a way that is typical Besson. But it’s also undeniably entertaining, and it marks a relatively pain-free way to kill, if not three days, at least a couple of hours.” Read more »

New About Last Night Movie Delivered Awesome Laughs,Drama & More

New About Last Night movie delivered awesome laughs, drama & more. Screen Gems (Sony) released their new romantic/comedy flick, “About Last Night” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and thought it was extremely funny and entertaining with a good ratio of romance to comedy. In other words, it was mostly funny as hell. It stars: Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy, Regina Hall, Joy Bryant, Christopher McDonald, and Paula Patton.

In the new flick, four friends, Bernie (Kevin Hart), Danny (Michael Ealy), Joan (Regina Hall), and Debbie (Joy Bryant) are all caught up in very tumultuous relationships with each other. Bernie is dating Joan while Danny is dating Debbie. Like all relationships, things start off great, but they indeed, eventually run into major problems as Joan wants a bigger commitment from Bernie, who’s just not down with that.

Danny and Debbie seem ok for a few months, but the pressure of maintaining a good relationship and all the arguing just starts to be too much for Danny. These issues cause both the couples to eventually break up. However, in the end, they find themselves back in each other arms. However, that conclusion doesn’t occur without a lot of extremely heated fights and very comical moments. Read more »
