Brock Lesnar retired from UFC 141 last night after getting his butt kicked. According to the Huffington Post and numerous other sources,one of the UFC’s most popular fighters Brock Lesnar has decided to just up and quit the UFC 141 after Alistair Overeem royally kicked his butt last night.

It was just too much for the big man. He took a big kick to the stomach and slumped to the side of the cage,and apparently thought, man this is it, at the time. Lesnar lost in the very first round at 2:26,and said, forget this crap. I’m out for good. The L.A. Times speculated that he may return to his WWE roots after this to do some more fake fighting instead. Basketball great Michael Jordan got engaged to hot model Yvette Prieto other day. According to a new report from Hollywood Life,arguably one of the greatest basketball players of all time, Michael Jordan has reportedly gotten engaged to his very hot model, girlfriend Yvette Prieto.

They say Jordan,now 48 years old, popped the big question over the Christmas weekend,and she said, yes. So, a big congratulations is in order for those two. This will be Michael’s 2nd marriage. He was previously married to Juanita Vanoy for 17 years before divorcing her in 2006,and he had to shell out about $168 million to her for that. I wish him well and all,but he better get a prenup. Lakers’ Kobe Bryant trying hard to save his marriage and is deeply depressed. As previously reported NBA Laker superstar Kobe Bryant is currently in the midst of an ugly divorce. However,according to a new report from TMZ, he is really wanting to repair his damaged marriage for the sake of his two daughters,and is,quote, “deeply depressed” over this whole situation.

He’s very concerned about how his daughters will handle growing up in two,separate households. He’s also looking at losing a damn,near fortune that could continue for life, from what I’ve heard. That’s enough to make anybody upset and wanna reconcile.

NBA lockout to finally end with new season starting on Christmas day. According to TMZ, the current NBA lockout is possibly ready to finally come to an end as a tentative agreement was reached earlier this morning.

They say,this agreement could very well end all of this lockout madness,and give us a new season,starting on Christmas day if both the players and owners ratify the agreement. Boxing Legend Joe Frazier sadly died last night from cancer. According to TMZ, former heavyweight,boxing legend “Smokin” Joe Frazier kicked the bucket last night after losing to his latest bout with cancer. He was diagnosed with liver cancer last month. They say Joe died at his home in Philadelphia last night,and was surrounded by his family at the time.

Back in his glory days, Joe fought the great Muhammad Ali three times in the 70s ,and beat him in 1971. Their last fight was the legendary “Thrilla in Manilla.” Joe was 67 years old when he died. Joe was both an Olympic and Undisputed World Heavyweight boxing champion. His pro boxing career lasted from 1965 to 1976, with a brief comeback in 1981. Read the rest of this entry »

Football star Terrell Owens rushed to Hospital for possible overdose. According to TMZ, famous wide receiver Terrell Owens was recently rushed to the hospital last week due to a possible prescription pill overdose.

They say, emergency officials responded to a call about a possible prescription pill overdose when they were dispatched to the L.A. apartment where Terrell Owens was staying. Terrell was then transported by ambulance to a Los Angeles hospital. The police also investigated the incident,and talked with Terrell at the hospital. Venus Williams dropped out of 2011 US Open Tennis tourny due to serious illness

According to Hollywood Life, former number 1 in the world women’s tennis player and past US Open champ Venus Williams, has pulled out of the current 2011 US Open tennis tournament due to a serious illness that she just got diagnosed with.

Yesterday, Venus released a statement,which said, “I have recently been diagnosed with Sjogren’s Syndrome. I wish I could continue but right now I am unable to. I am thankful I finally have a diagnosis and am now focused on getting better and returning to the court soon.” Read the rest of this entry »

Maria Sharapova lost 2011 Wimbledon final to Petra Kvitova today. Earlier today,top Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova hit the All England Lawn tennis courts to play for her 2nd Wimbledon title,but it was not to be as Kvitova apparently outplayed her to take the match in a straight sets victory.

Maria got outplayed from the very start of the match as Petra had the answer for Maria’s best shots. It was quite shocking to say the least. Petra ended up closing the match out with a score of 6-3,6-4. Read the rest of this entry »

Serena Williams burst into tears after 2011 Wimbledon match win today. According to the Huffington Post, four-time Wimbledon champ and former number 1,Serena Williams hit the prestigious grass courts in England earlier today to play against Arvane Rezai.

The match ended up going a full three sets. Serena defeated her with a score of 6-3, 3-6, 6-1. Afterwards, she burst into tears. Her comeback road has been long and hard as she’s gone through a plethora of injuries and health problems this last year,including something that could’ve been life-threatening. Dallas Mavericks seen hoisting their 2011 NBA Trophy in Miami in this new video (below). As previously reported,the Dallas Mavericks took home their very first NBA Championship trophy tonight after winning the 2011 NBA finals over the Miami Heat with a score of 105-95 and a 4 games to 2 victory.
