Lamar Odom officially fired from Dallas Mavericks and leaving Immediately. According to a new report from TMZ, Lamar Odom has finally been fired from the Dallas Mavericks after his many screw ups there. I could see this one coming from a mile away. They say, Lamar released a statement today,which said, he'll be stepping away from the team,and it's effective immediately. He also said, "I'm sorry that things didn't work out better for both of us, but I wish the Mavs' organization, my teammates and Dallas fans nothing but continued success in the defense of their championship." Lamar will leave the team asap,but will not be cut. Instead they're just going to list him as "inactive" for the rest of the season,which means he could still be traded after the season. This year,Lamar has put up career low numbers,and hasn't appeared motivated on the court. Also,it's really going to suck for he and his wife Khloe Kardashian's reality show because they had just leased a condo in Dallas,and planned to begin shooting footage for the family reality show, there. Too bad.

Yesterday afternoon,hot,female,race car,driver Danica Patrick took a nasty,huge spill at the 2012 NASCAR Gatorade Duel Race (video below). Apparently,she was just one lap away from finishing her first NASCAR Sprint Cup race when she took the hard crash. According to Deadspin,she'll still be in the Daytona 500 since she already earned a spot there,but she will lose her starting position. The important thing is,she didn't get hurt,because the crash looked real bad. Danica got out of the vehicle,and was perfectly fine as the car was built to be very safe,and withstand that type of an impact. During the race,Danica got as high as 6th place. Ultimately,Tony Stewart pulled out the victory. In the video, Danica was coming off a turn,when another car bumped into her,causing her to run off the road and slam mega hard into the wall. It was pretty,damn wicked.

Brock Lesnar retired from UFC 141 last night after getting his butt kicked. According to the Huffington Post and numerous other sources,one of the UFC's most popular fighters Brock Lesnar has decided to just up and quit the UFC 141 after Alistair Overeem royally kicked his butt last night. It was just too much for the big man. He took a big kick to the stomach and slumped to the side of the cage,and apparently thought, man this is it, at the time. Lesnar lost in the very first round at 2:26,and said, forget this crap. I'm out for good. The L.A. Times speculated that he may return to his WWE roots after this to do some more fake fighting instead. Lesnar's official statement was, "This is the last time you'll see me in the octagon." Lesnar played a big role in expanding the UFC's profile due to his popularity in the WWE ring,and beat Randy Couture in 2008 to win the heavyweight title. He ended up defending it twice before losing it to Cain Velasquez last year.

According to TMZ, the current NBA lockout is possibly ready to finally come to an end as a tentative agreement was reached earlier this morning. They say,this agreement could very well end all of this lockout madness,and give us a new season,starting on Christmas day if both the players and owners ratify the agreement. If the deal goes through,the training camps and free agency would start on December 9th,and the league would be able to pull off a 66-game season. NBA players' union executive director Billy Hunter and commissioner David Stern announced the deal after a long,15-hour, negotiating session.

Boxing Legend Joe Frazier sadly died last night from cancer. According to TMZ, former heavyweight,boxing legend "Smokin" Joe Frazier kicked the bucket last night after losing to his latest bout with cancer. He was diagnosed with liver cancer last month. They say Joe died at his home in Philadelphia last night,and was surrounded by his family at the time. Back in his glory days, Joe fought the great Muhammad Ali three times in the 70s ,and beat him in 1971. Their last fight was the legendary "Thrilla in Manilla." Joe was 67 years old when he died. Joe was both an Olympic and Undisputed World Heavyweight boxing champion. His pro boxing career lasted from 1965 to 1976, with a brief comeback in 1981. Frazier's boxing style was often compared to Henry Armstrong and occasionally Rocky Marciano. He liked to bob, weave, grunt,and snort as he grimaced with all out aggression wearing down his opponents with relentless pressure. His best known punch was a powerful left hook, which accounted for most of his knockouts.

According to TMZ, famous wide receiver Terrell Owens was recently rushed to the hospital last week due to a possible prescription pill overdose. They say, emergency officials responded to a call about a possible prescription pill overdose when they were dispatched to the L.A. apartment where Terrell Owens was staying. Terrell was then transported by ambulance to a Los Angeles hospital. The police also investigated the incident,and talked with Terrell at the hospital. Afterwards, Terrell was released from the hospital. This isn't the first time Terrell has been sent to the hospital over pills. Back in 2006,he was released from the hospital after insisting he simply had a bad reaction to some painkillers.
