Texas Tech’s Mike Leach gets fired for mistreating a player.According to ABC news, Texas Tech University football coach, Mike Leach got fired earlier today due to allegations of mistreating one of his players.They say he was about to receive an $800,000 dollar bonus tomorrow,and also signed a $12.7 million dollar contract for five years earlier this year. However, now he will just receive a severance package of $400,000 annually for the next four years.

He also got fired just days before his Red Raiders team is scheduled to play Michigan State in the nationally televised Alama Bowl game. The university had initially suspended Mike Leach,but he decided to fight back by hiring an attorney to challenge his suspension. Then the university gave Leach’s attorney, Ted Liggett, a termination letter just before they were scheduled to meet in court for a hearing on Mike’s suspension. Liggett said that the termination letter stated, Mike Leach is “terminated with cause effective immediately.”

Steve ‘Dr. Death’ Williams died of throat cancer today. According to thewrestlingdaily.com and Examiner, pro wrestler Steven Williams died of throat cancer today. He was only 49 years old. He went by the stage name, “Dr. Death.”

Steve started wrestling in 1979,and won numerous titles in Japan. He competed for Mid-South Wrestling , the National Wrestling Alliance ,and World Championship Wrestling. He also had brief runs for the World Wrestling Federation and Extreme Championship Wrestling.

During a ten year period of his career,he had a remarkable undefeated record in the United States. Top wrestling professionals have taken to “Twitter” to express their condolences. Chris Jericho wrote, ” “God bless u Dr Death not only were u a tough bastard as Stu would say, but you were also a fighter and a true inspiration. Gambate!!”

Jeremy Borash wrote, “RIP Steve Williams. A man who fought cancer as tough as anyone and a real inspiration. Gonna be an Oklahoma Stampede in heaven.” Kevin Nash wrote, “My condolences go out to Dr. Death (Steve Williams) family and friends. We lost a great one today!” Taz wrote, “We lost a GREAT man. Steve “Dr. Death” Williams…RIP.” Daniels wrote, “RIP Dr. Death! Calling you a legend isn’t enough. I’m glad we got a chance to work together. You will be missed!”

They say that there was some heavy shaking for about 15 seconds,but then things quickly got back to normal. the officials were not really worried about the structural integrity of the tall buildings because the buildings were only about three stories tall in the border towns. The Calexico officials have not requested any aid at this time.

The earthquake was felt over a wide section of the Southwest, which includes: San Diego,Phoenix,and Tijuana. The earthquake occurred at 10:48am about 23 miles south of Calexico in Imperial County and 20 miles from Mexicali. They also say that residents in Imperial County, San Diego County, Orange County ,and Los Angeles County reported feeling effects from the quake.

Buildings reportedly swayed briefly in downtown San Diego,about 100 miles north of the epicenter. However,there were no reports of damage or injuries.

NY Post says Vampire Diaries beats Twilight Saga movies. The battle is on between the “Twilight Saga” movies and CW’s hit TV show, “Vampire Diaries,” according to the New York Post. However, they say that Vampire Diaries is the clear winner. Joselyn Davis from Clevver TV put together this interesting clip (below),which details out what was stated by the New York Post.

The writer gave three reasons why “Vampire Diaries” is better than “Twilight Saga.” The first one was blood and gore. He wrote, ” The show is a more traditional vampire horror tale than Twilight. While the movies focus more on romance than murder. The Cullens don’t even have normal vampire fangs.”

He said the “sex factor” was the 2nd reason he likes Vampire Diaries more. He wrote, ” so far in the Twi-saga,we haven’t seen any action on this front. The film promotes vampires having falsely neutered innocence,which really isn’t in line with normal vampire characteristics.”

Finally, he wrote that, ” Bella is a blank slate without any actual personality. Elena sets an example for young girls as strong minded women,and when Elena learns that Stefan is a vampire,she is truly horrified.” I don’t know. That’s some pretty bold statements. However,both franchises have their fans. I personally like them both in different ways. What do you guys think ?

Robert Pattinson says he was shocked by all the London fan attention. Twilight,New Moon,and Eclipse movie star, Robert Pattinson recently gave an interview to Absolute.co.uk in his hometown of London,England. He revealed that he was shocked by the outrageous fan attention over there,and a few other things.

Robert started off saying that “New Moon” was easier to shoot because he mostly played the supporting role in it. They weren’t really relying on him to push the movie forward. He commented about missing his normal life, when asked. He said, “Uh, yeah, sometimes.”

They asked him to give the fans a wave to see what would happen. They screamed. However, he said he was a little shocked by them doing that in his hometown because he always thought it was just a foreign thing. He also revealed that he was spending Christmas with his family in London. He concluded the interview,by telling the reporters that he has never gotten to show Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner his hometown because they hardly spent any time there when they were touring.

Charlie Sheen wife’s past criminal history gets revealed. Radaronline has recently revealed the past criminal history of Charlie Sheen’s wife Brooke Mueller. From the looks of her record, it sounds like these two were made for each other because Brooke hasn’t been an angel in the past either.

Radaronline says they obtained Brooke’s criminal history information for the state of Florida. It shows that she was arrested twice in the past. She got arrested for one DUI and damage to property in 1996. Then she got arrested for possession of cocaine on an outstanding warrant in 2001. The offense is a 3rd degree felony.They also got a photo of her mug shot,which is pictured in this article . This was from one of her arrests. They didn’t say which one it was.

Brooke was arrested by the palm Beach Police Department on her DUI charge,and then she was arrested by the Miami-Dade police for her cocaine possession charges.

Brooke Mueller tries to make amends with Charlie Sheen. According to TMZ, Charlie Sheen’s wife, Brooke Mueller is currently trying to make amends with him. They say that Brooke wants the court to modify the protective order so she can have contact with Charlie Sheen in an effort to save her marriage.

Brooke hired criminal defense lawyer, Yale Galanter who has also represented OJ Simpson for a long time. Yale says that Brooke did not recant her story to the police,as previously reported. He says Brooke did, “minimize her story, like many wives in a similar situation do, when they realize their husband could go to jail.”

Yale Galanter says he is going to file papers with the Aspen court this morning,which will request Brooke and Charlie to resume contact with each other so they can work on their marriage. Yale said that Brooke and Charlie still love each other,and that their recent altercation was, “one bad night.”

Galanter says he was hired to specifically make sure that prosecutors don’t overreact and charge Brooke with lying to cops. He says, Brooke didn’t realize that Charlie would be arrested after she called 911,so she soft-pedaled her story to a cop a few hours later,but she insists that she did not recant it.

Tiger Woods reportedly got plastic surgery due to a golf club hit from his wife. Dailymail news site is reporting that a respected sportswriter named, Furman Bisher wrote on his blog that Tiger Woods has actually been “missing in action” because of a 9-iron golf club hit to the face by his wife, Elin Nordegren. And he had to recover from plastic surgery.

Furman Bisher wrote on his blog, “At one point Tiger turned away to look at the TV, and as he turned back, Elin hit him on the right side of the face with the head of a 9-iron.

When she struck Tiger, she put a huge gash in the right side of his face next to his nose , and virtually knocking two of his upper teeth out, and breaking the bone on the upper right side. Tiger ran scared as hell out of the house (which is why he had on no shoes) with Elin swinging the golf club throughout the hallway to the garage (i.e. causing the severe damage which has been reported).

Tiger hopped in the Escalade and tried to leave; and as we know Elin knocked out the windows in the Escalade. When Tiger crashed, Elin panicked and was not sure what to tell the police (which is why there are two conflicting stories from her). ”

Security tape reveals Jon Gosselin’s apartment robbery was real. According to radaronline, the security tape from Jon Gosselin’s apartment proves that his robbery was real and not staged. They say it shows that Jon was in his apartment for only 60 seconds before leaving to report the robbery to building management. His lawyer said this proves he did not stage it.

The New York police also want to meet with Jon on January 3. Jon’s lawyer, Mark Heller said, “He is going to be clocked by that surveillance camera going into his building,he comes down to talk to management. It’s all on tape. He couldn’t have done all that damage in 60 seconds. His place was trashed, his belongings ripped to shreds.” This was his response to allegations that the robbery may have been a publicity stunt.

Jon’s ex girlfriend, Hailey Glassman told her lawyer that she did take some items that belonged to her. Mark Heller said, “She’s probably going to have a list of things she said he said she could take.Well, let me tell you, we will have credit card statement and receipts proving Jon bought the items she is carrying out the door. And we will say in a sworn affidavit that he didn’t authorize her to take the TV and other items that belong to him. Once they see the video it will be a felony.”

Hailey said she had nothing to do with the slicing and dicing of his clothing and other items,but Mark Heller said, “The forensics evidence will back up the vandalism.” He said if Hailey is convicted of the reported vandalism,then she will do some jail time.

He stated, “I mean taking a butcher knife and cutting expensive items,, breaking a family heirloom… give me a break. – I don’t know how you can cut her slack. The damage is in the thousands. There is no way she Hailey can walk away without severe penalty.”

ABC’s Bianna Golodryga revealed she’s engaged to OMB’s Peter Orszag. The Huffington Post reports that ABC News financial reporter, Bianna Golodryga announced earlier today on “Good Morning America” that she is engaged to OMB Director, Peter Orszag.

She commented on how he became a winner for her. She stated, “He could say Golodryga and spell it after the first date, and that is a winner in my book.” They say that Orszag proposed to her yesterday while having lunch at Sarabeth’s restaurant in New York.

He hid a 5-carat cushion-cut Harry Winston diamond ring underneath Bianna’s menu. They plan on getting married in October of 2010. Bianna was wearing the ring,but for some reason,she would not show it off.
