New Emma Watson ‘Noah’ Movie Received Mostly Positive Reviews From Major Critics

Paramount Pictures released their new action/drama flick, “Noah” into theaters this weekend, and the reviews are in from the top,major movie critics. It ended up,getting mostly positive reviews with an overall score of 68 out of a possible 100 across 37 reviews over at Metacritic.com.

The movie stars: Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Ray Winstone, Emma Watson, Anthony Hopkins, Logan Lerman, and Nick Nolte. We’ve added snippets from a few of the critics,below.

Steve Persall at the Tampa Bay Times, gave it a great 91 score, saying, “Despite wild deviations in spiritual themes and execution, nothing in Noah approaches sacrilege or surrender, making this an acutely sensible biblical epic. It may simply be too strange for the masses to notice.” Read more »

New Divergent movie delivered great action,drama,interesting plot & more. Summit Entertainment (Lionsgate) released their new action/drama flick “Divergent” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and thought it was pretty damn entertaining as it served up a lot of great action,drama, and an interesting plotline. It stars: Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Ashley Judd, Jai Courtney, Ray Stevenson, Zo? Kravitz, Miles Teller, Tony Goldwyn, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer,and Kate Winslet.

The new flick is set in a futuristic Chicago, people are divided into five distinct factions: Abnegation (selfless), Amity (kind), Candor (honest), Erudite (intelligent) ,and Dauntless (brave), based on their personalities. However, Beatrice “Tris” Prior ends up, finding out that she’s a Divergent, meaning she fits into more than one faction, and basically cannot be controlled.

Tris is told to hide the fact that she’s Divergent to escape getting killed. Eventually, she decides to join the Dauntless faction, where she ends up,training to become a very skilled soldier. Read more »

New Divergent movie received overall mixed reviews from major critics. Summit Entertainment (Lionsgate) released their new action/adventure flick, “Divergent,” into theaters today, March 21st, and the reviews from the top,major critics are in. The movie ended up, getting mixed reviews, overall, with a 49 score out of a possible 100 across 29 reviews at Metacritic.com. We’ve included a some snippets from a few of the critics,below.

The film stars: Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Ashley Judd, Jai Courtney, Ray Stevenson, Zo? Kravitz, Miles Teller, Tony Goldwyn, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, and Kate Winslet.

Bill Zwecker from the Chicago Sun-Times, gave it an awesome 88 score, stating, “The strength of Burger’s movie is the fact that a non-reader of Roth’s work can enjoy Divergent and not be confused by any aspect of the storyline.” Owen Gleiberman from Entertainment Weekly, gave it an 83 score. New Veronica Mars 2,sequel or TV Show reboot might happen,Producer wants to do it. According to a recent report from The Wrap, Veronica Mars creator/producer, Rob Thomas, showed up at Paleyfest in Hollywood,CA this past week, and talked about the possibilities of the brand new Veronica Mars movie being the catalyst for even more opportunities, like a possible sequel or even a reboot of the TV show,all together.

Apparently, it’s being reported that Amazon or Netflix might be interested in rebooting the TV show on their networks. Rob told them: “The idea of a Netflix or Amazon order excites me to no end. I would love it. I would love to be able to do the R-rated version of ‘Veronica Mars.’ I would love to tell some darker stories. It’s a noir show, Veronica’s an adult now. I would certainly listen to that. Hopefully, people would line up for that as well. I’ve said many times. We also think we could be a very successful low-budget Bond franchise, do one of these movies every two or three years.” Read more »

New Need For Speed movie delivered great action,drama,stunts & more. DreamWorks Pictures released their new action flick, “Need For Speed” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and thought it was excellent, serving up ultra crazy car stunts,action, drama, a touch of comedy, and more. The movie stars: Aaron Paul, Imogen Poots, Dominic Cooper, Ramon Rodriguez, Rami Malek, Harrison Gilbertson, Scott ‘Kid Cudi’ Mescudi, Michael Keaton, and Dakota Johnson.

In the new flick, Tobey Marshall (Aaron Paul) is a former race car driver that owns an upstate New York garage, where he and his friends tune performance cars. Struggling to make ends meet, he and his crew participate in street races after hours. One day, Dino, Tobey’s former rival, arrives at his garage with a Shelby Mustang that Carroll Shelby had worked on before his death.

Dino asks Tobey and his crew to complete the project in exchange for 25% of the car’s estimated selling price of $2 million. Despite objections from his crew, Tobey agrees to go along with the deal in order to save the garage. Read more »

New Tyler Perry’s Single Moms Club delivered great drama,comedy & more. Lionsgate released their new comedy/drama flick, “Tyler Perry’s The Single Moms Club” into theaters this weekend. I just watched it, and thought it was way better than I originally thought it would be, serving up great laughs, drama, beautiful women, and more. It stars: Tyler Perry, Nia Long, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Amy Smart, Zulay Henao, Cocoa Brown, Ryan Eggold, William Levy, Terry Crews, and Eddie Cibrian.

In the new flick, five struggling single moms, May (Nia Long) , Jan (Wendi McLendon-Covey), Hillary (Amy Smart), Esperanza (Zulay Henao), and Lytia (Cocoa Brown) put their differences aside to form a support group for each other, called “The Single Moms Club.”

May is struggling to raise a young boy on her own,and not let him know that his father is a drug addict. Jan is so busy that her 12 year old daughter doesn’t think she loves her, so she acts out a lot. Hillary struggles to get to know her kids after having to fire her nanny during a big divorce. New Veronica Mars movie got mostly positive reviews from top critics. Warner Bros. Pictures released their new drama/crime flick, “Veronica Mars” into theaters this weekend,and the top critics have submitted their reviews. Most of them thought it was pretty good as it got a 62 score out of a possible 100 across 32 reviews at Metacritic.com. We posted snippets from a couple of them,below.

The movie stars: Kristen Bell, Jason Dohring, Chris Lowell, Ryan Hansen, Krysten Ritter, Percy Daggs III, Tina Majorino, Francis Capra Ken Marino, and Enrico Colantoni.

Matt Zoller Seitz at RogerEbert.com, gave it a great 88 score, stating, “I can’t imagine anyone who liked the show not enjoying this film, even though the first half is stronger than the second, which spirals into a frenzy of double- and triple-crossing that’s less engaging than watching the characters reconnect, awkwardly but with feeling.” Read more »

New Need For Speed movie received mostly bad reviews from major critics. DreamWorks Pictures released their new action flick, “Need For Speed” into theaters this weekend, and the top movie critics have submitted their reviews. Unfortunately, for the film, it seems that most of the reviews doesn’t fall in its favor, getting an overall 38 score out of a 100 across 27 reviews at Metacritic.com.

Bill Zwecker at the Chicago Sun-Times, gave it a 63 score, stating, “The best parts of Need for Speed are the actual racing and chasing sequences — a true thrill ride for the audience as the story unfolds.” Michael Phillips at the Chicago Tribune, gave it another 63. He stated: “When the actors are in cars, the movie’s fun. When they get out to argue, or seethe, it’s uh-oh time. Happily, director Scott Waugh comes out of the stunt world himself, and there’s a refreshing emphasis on actual, theoretically dangerous stunt driving over digital absurdities.” Read more »

New 300,Rise Of An Empire movie delivered great action,drama,gore & more. Paramount Pictures released their new action/drama flick, “300: Rise Of An Empire” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and thought it was pretty entertaining, mostly because of the hardcore,highly graphic violence and action that it served up. However, the dialogue and overall plotline was just ok for me. It stars: Sullivan Stapleton, Eva Green, Lena Headey, Hans Matheson, David Wenham, Rodrigo Santoro, Igal Naor, Callan Mulvey, Jack O’Connell, and Andrew Tiernan.

In the new flick, Darius’ son, Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro), witnesses his father’s death, and is advised, not to continue the war, since “only the gods could defeat the Greeks. Darius’ naval commander, Artemisia (Eva Green), claims that Darius’ last words where in fact a challenge and sends Xerxes on a journey through the desert. Eventually, Xerxes reaches a cave and bathes in an otherworldly liquid, emerging as the “God-King,” and returns to Persia to declare war on Greece. Read more »
