Adam Lambert’s freaky American Music Award act drew lots of complaints. Season 8 “American Idol” runner up did a crazy, provocative routine at the 2009 American Music awards the other night.

He did things like put a lady’s head in his crotch to simulate oral sex,grabbed his male keyboard player and french kissed the hell out of him,and gestured to the audience with his middle finger.

Now,according to Reuters, his performance has received about 1,500 complaints. They report that Adam said he wasn’t trying to piss people off. Read the rest of this entry »

2009 American Music Awards winners get revealed. The 2009 American Music Awards premiered last night at the Nokia Center in Los Angeles,California.

All the big names in music made an appearance,whether it was live or on video, they were there for this huge event. We have a full list of the winners,below.

Taylor Swift won “Artist of the Year.”

Michael Jackson won “Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist.”

Keith Urban performed a feel good ‘Kissed A Girl’ at the 2009 American Music Awards. Country/Rocker music star, Keith Urban performed his country rocker song, “Kiss a Girl” at the 2009 American Music Awards last night. The song had a nice, little, uptempo beat, and a “feel good” vibe to it (video below).

He sung good vocals,and his back up partners joined in as the performance progressed. The vocals stayed pretty even throughout the whole performance.

Kelly Clarkson hit strong ‘Already Gone’ notes at the 2009 American Music Awards. Another former American Idol contestant. Actually the first winner of American Idol, Kelly Clarkson performed her new song, “Already Gone” at the 2009 American Music Awards last night (video below).

She delivered her expected strong vocals throughout the song,and wore an elegant black dress while performing the ballet. As the performance went on, the vocals got even stronger. It took me back to those old American Idol days, when she was on the show. Read the rest of this entry »

Alicia Keys gave strong ‘Broken Heart’ solo at the 2009 American Music Awards. Alicia Keys performed her second performance of the night at the 2009 American Music Awards. The first,was a duet with Jay-Z in “Empire State Of Mind. This second one,was her new solo single, “Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart” (video below).

In this performance,she brought a little bit of a 70′s R&B feel. I liked the beat to this song,and her vocals sounded nice as usual. She wore a gold-draped jacket . She looked really cute last night.

Black Eyed Peas gave a “Boom Pow” & “Halfway” at the 2009 American Music Awards. The Black Eyed Peas who have been at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts for the majority of the year,took to the 2009 American Music Award stage last night,and performed their “Meet Me Halfway,” and “Boom Boom Pow” songs. (video below).

Fergie started it off by singing “Meet Me Halfway” with those strong vocals of hers.Then, another member came out to spit his rap verse,as he walked down the stairs.Fergie joined him and started dancing in that sexy little outfit of hers.

Mary J Blige delivered strong, vocal ‘I Am’ at the 2009 American Music Awards. Mary J. Blige performed her new song, “I Am” at the 2009 American Music Awards last night (video below). I thought the beat was ok,and the vocals were strong. Of course,it’s Mary J. Blige,so I wouldn’t expect anything less.

As she kept performing,she started to deliver more facial expressions and arm movements,injecting more personality into it. Then, she just grabbed that mic and started walking and dancing around the stage.

Daughtry sang a strong ‘Life After You’ at the 2009 American Music Awards. The band “Daughtry,” named after American Idol’s Chris Daughtry performed “Life After You” (video below) at the 2009 American Music Awards last night.Chris appeared to give a strong performance, hitting the vocals quite nicely.

Then, the rest of the band joined in to help sing a little backup during parts of the song,but honestly he didn’t need it. Chris sung with a lot of passion and emotion.

Green Day rocked ’21 Guns’ at the 2009 American Music Awards. Green Day lead singer, Billy Armstrong started off the performance,strumming the opening chords of the song, “21 Guns” on a black acoustic guitar (video below). During the chorus,they delivered a shower of pyrotechnic sparks.

The huge video screen showed glass shattering and bullets whizzing,and a big explosions during different parts of the song.

Towards the end of the song, Billy Armstrong raised his hands high,thrusted his guitar into the air,and shouted, “Los Angeles!”. Read the rest of this entry »

Carrie Underwood performed a great ‘Casanova’ at the 2009 American Music Awards. Carrie Underwood gave us a more revealing look with her 2009 American Music Awards performance (video below). She sported a short outfit,which showed off those gorgeous legs of hers.

Her performance started off with her surrounded by her dancers. Then she started singing her song, “Cowboy Casanova.” As she kept singing,she hit the notes with powerful authority. She even performed a couple of dance steps, here and there.
